C&R Construction was created in 1995 with my partner. Our company specialized in residential and commercial remodeling and new construction. I performed all sales, job estimation, bids, contract creation/negotiations, materials management, qualifying subcontractors, supervising, purchasing, hiring of personnel (subs), follow up with customer and completions of job on time and within budget. These jobs involved remodeling of houses or commercial structures, new additions or new construction of homes/buildings. Created and or reviewed plans and built to all applicable codes with appropriate permits.
Centralized Warehouse System
The operational budget for purchasing was approximately $40,000,000.00 (forty million dollars).
Initial responsibilities included purchasing for facilities maintenance, (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, grounds, athletic facilities, medical, school bus fleet, maintenance fleet.), for the centralized warehouse.
The purchasing department supplied a 50 campus facility. Responsibilities included bid formulation to specifications and guidelines of the Department of Education State of Texas and RISD policy. Bid item specifications, formulation of formal bid package and vendor qualification. Bid openings and bid award meetings. Initialized and performed contracted services and negotiations. Establishing EOQ settings and seasonal adjustments based on needs of a district. Daily purchasing functions were completed in RAPS (Richardson Automated Purchasing System) or ERP. Monitored all PO’s of the 50 campuses to outside vendors and default the purchase order to an in house centralized warehouse supply requisition. I continually monitored budgetary constraints on PO’s entered by individual facilities to police budgetary constraints or policy (capital outlay versus supply budget monies.)
. Responsibilities expanded with the addition of procurement of educational supplies, fixtures, furniture and capital outlay fixed assets.

Sold tubular goods and casing to the oil field industry for exploration. Duties included
Establishing customer base, running credit reports, cold call sales, sourcing of material, scheduling of delivery and follow-up as needed.
Rattled, Drifted and Pressure tested Oil Country Tubulars for resale. Roustabout in pipe yard with various responsibilities, oil field equipment refurbish/overhaul, load out trucks, deliver pipe and equipment to drilling sites, welding, mechanic and general duties as assigned. Install pumping units, install flow lines etc.
