Syska acted as the 3rd party independent Testing and Commissioning authority for the US Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA to commission various systems within its new medical facility. Our scope of services included providing full critical systems performance testing to design intent, including procedures, technicians, test equipment and punch list.
Oversaw maintenance of the HVAC units, atrium ventilation, building management system, electrical distribution, emergency power generation and distribution, fire detection, fire sprinkler, lighting controls and variable frequency drives.
During the O&M Transition Phase, ensured that on-site military personnel were trained on proper documentation techniques, operation of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems in order to independently operate and maintain the facility and its systems. My final report included detailed recommendations not only to operability issues, but also reliability and maintainability as well.
