At my last position with C G & B Enterprises, I was the superintendent on a ten acre park, a two point eight million dollar job. And due to the documentation and the proper rigorous procedures the job came in twenty percent under budget. My duties were as such: I coordinated meetings with the CG&B Project manager, architect, and county project managers. The project also required coordination with civil engineers, surveyors, structural engineers, and subcontractors. These meetings were to coordinate between all parties involved to solve problems, ensure quality control and meet deadlines. Other duties included scheduling all subcontractors, three week look ahead report, daily reports, administration of the safety program, and knowledge of the project specification. As project superintendent I coordinated inspections with county, city, and third party inspectors as directed in the project specification. It was my additional duty to study all project documentation to ensure that all structural, building, and flood control codes were followed.
In addition to my superintendent responsibilities, I operated the blade, loader, backhoe, bobcat, and other equipment. Projects included sub grade and final grade for parking lots, building slabs, roads, and various concrete installations. I have also ran concrete crews for building slabs, various types of footings, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and other concrete installations, install potable water lines, irrigation systems, painting, fence installation, structural iron work, carpentry, play ground installation, and other various construction.
As an entrepreneur of Midwest Construction, my duties consisted of estimating jobs, coordinating everything in the field from earthwork to the concrete install. Ninety percent of our work at Midwest was school district and civil jobs. I was responsible for all aspects of running a small business whose jobs ranged in monetary terms from two thousand to one point six million.
I believe my well rounded nature plus twenty two years of experience in construction and management would serve you well. Donating extra time for attention to details and deadlines is part of my nature. As a dedicated family man I have realized the meaning of life, and hope to carry that attitude over to your company.
.
My personal mission statement is: Try to be a better person today than you were yesterday, learn as much as you can from whomever you can. Believe in yourself and become all you can. Every morning is a new one, start fresh and attack. Address adversity with the proper character. Work with combined ideas from various people to come up with the most productive solution. Always do your best.
Please feel free to email or call me any time if there is a position you may want to discuss with me
Sincerely,
Mike Jurgenson
