Field Manager in a highly motivated neighborhood for a high volume builder. My
job responsibilities included budget control, quality management, OSHA and EPA
compliance along with managing the day-to-day process of homebuilding.
3/05 – 9/15/2006 Community Construction Manager, Standard Pacific Homes
Community Construction Manager for a large semi-custom homebuilder in the
D/FW metroplex. My job was to manage the build process form start to completion,
dealing with the sales team, homeowners, city officials and trades. Dealing with the
budget process, payroll and bid process is also an important part of the job.
1/04 – 3/05 Project Manager, Liberty First Homes.
In this position I was responsible for the overall success of the community. This entailed maintaining team work between construction, sales and the main office. I was fortunate to be able to deal with the city at the tail end of the development process and was responsible for getting final city approval for the subdivision. I met with city inspectors and the build team regularly regarding code issues. An important part of this position was to get bids, set budgets, and maintain a profitable, satisfactory product.
8/02 – 1/04 Construction Manager, Continental Homes
In this position I was a senior builder. I was responsible for my houses as well as maintaining good production for the community as a whole. I assisted other builders in areas where needed and maintained the warranty in this community. Weekly meetings with the sales and construction team were vital to maintain teamwork and to deliver a satisfactory product.
3/99 – 8/02 Construction Superintendent, Beazer Homes
In this position I was one of several builders in various communities throughout the metroplex responsible for the construction process. I met with the sales team and construction team on a weekly basis to maintain good communication with the homeowners and team work in the subdivision.
7/97 – 3/99 Lead Carpenter, Jurak Remodeling
In this position I was responsible for making repairs on the warranty side of the business as well as running the Handyman Service.
6/92 – 7/97 Trim Carpenter, Jerome Sherrin Trim & Cabinet
Interior trim carpenter for upscale homes throughout the Metroplex.
