Dear Hiring Department,
Enclosed is my application for your review of the title electrician. I would be an excellent candidate for this position as I have diverse electrical knowledge and much experience from the lowest voltage's to some of the highest in both ac and dc. I have heavy experience in trouble shooting which I believe is my strongest attribute. My experience includes; metal halite, mercury vapor, high pressure sodium stadium lights, and parking. I trouble shoot blown circuits in every energy application from low voltage controls to high power contactors, switch gears, and air handlers. I provide these services underground or overhead in conduit or cable tray.
I’ve been working in the wind industry for the past 5 years. I’ve acquired 5 certifications within the first three years of my journey in this industry. I have adapted, persevered, and prospered. I love the challenge and the consistent progression of technology. I’m always evaluating my own performance as well as that of the personnel I’m responsible for. I have run crews of up to 12 employees, conducting safety meetings, touching base with upper management, and forming a plan conducive with the limitations we have to work with. While this was not a massive crew, the responsibilities of managing those twelve was quite an accomplishment as I was commissioning and trouble shooting in the field at the same time. This required massive amounts of unclaimed overtime on my behalf due to hour caps set by the contractor. This is one of many chores that I write off as being a team player.
I am pc literate, proficient in Microsoft Word Windows"07" downloading and uploading software and parameters. I can diagnose graphs and data given the adequate time to learn the software. I know my limitations and can honestly say I don’t know it all; however, I always give it my best to research and resolve every situation. I have further illustrated my experience in my resume and encourage you to review my education and skill level. I feel that my experiences have prepared me to meet the qualifications of this position and would like to meet for an interview as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Jon M. Price
