• Lead Test Engineering Specialist (2004 – 2008) Responsible for deck equipment on U.S. Navy ships: DDG’s, CG’s, LHD’s, and LPD’s and 5 foreign Navy vessels 3 for Israel and 2 for Venezuela and Coast Guard Cutters the NSC’s. Responsibilities included writing test procedures, supervising test procedure operation, recording and reporting results. Ensure preventive maintenance was performed on all equipment. Supervise test team and present final equipment delivery to the US Navy Inspection and Survey Team. Train military personnel on operation and maintenance of the systems I was responsible for.
Field Engineer Mechanical and Electro Hydraulics (2001-2004) Conducted ship checks for mechanical malfunctioning vendor supplied equipment, instructed craft personnel in correcting issues with vendors approval. Submitted calculations to degreed engineers for corrections of slopes, angles of approach and installation of equipment in vessels. Submitted corrections for electro-hydraulic systems to engineering for piping and electrical malfunctions. Went to engineering test for better hours (see above).
• Senior Production Planner (2000-2001) Scoped new drawings for hull foundations along with mscr’s ecn’s, and rollover drawings. Ensured that bill of materials were accurately represented in the appropriate communication tools and also issued the bills. Supervised between 8-15 personnel in daily functions.
• Test Engineer (1991-2000) Performed test on the anchor systems, after steering systems, cranes, boat davits. Coordinated the preventive maintenance procedures for equipment. Provided support during sea trials to the navy inspectors, and to the various ships crews- including the US Navy, Israeli Navy, and Venezuelan Navy. Trained ships crew on equipment operation and maintenance.
