September 1989 to April 1995: Vice-President, Apartment Contracting Corporation, a subsidiary of First Centrum Corporation, East Lansing, MI. In this position I was responsible for contractor selection, onsite production, cost tracking, and overall financial responsibility for several multi family housing projects that are built concurrently as well as staff administration.
January 1986 to August 1989: Vice President of Construction, Fox Corporation, Detroit, MI. With Fox, my responsibilities included building the construction department from the capabilities of less than three million dollars to in excess of twenty million dollars annually. I oversaw all activities from concept planning to final occupancy in all projects including apartment projects, shopping centers, and industrial buildings as large as one hundred thousand square feet. The early stages of project development such as site analysis, negotiations with municipalities, obtaining permits, feasibility budgets, site plan development, and construction document preparation were also part of my duties and responsibilities.

October 1982 to December 1985: Oxford Development Corp. With Oxford, I started as Project Superintendent and then was promoted to Project Manager. Based out of the Michigan, Indianapolis, and Florida offices, I was involved with multi-family housing projects ranging in size from seventy five to three hundred sixty two units.
June 1978 to October 1982: Project Superintendent, Foster-Schermerhorn-Barnes. With FSB I was an onsite superintendent on multi-family housing projects ranging in size from seventy seven to one hundred forty eight units, which were primarily government program financed.
May 1977 to June 1978: Partner, Weber, Fay, & Associates. In this firm we built new homes on a speculative basis in Petoskey, Michigan.
March 1975 to May 1977: Vice-President and Sales Manager, Golden West Corporation, Beresford, South Dakota. In this position I recruited and supervised all sales personnel, organized all marketing programs, initiated all promotions, and wrote advertising copy. Also, I was Project Superintendent over all the major construction projects this firm undertook including a motel and a forty unit apartment project. Other responsibilities included managing a wall panel fabricating facility.
Education:
Bachelor of Science, Building Construction, Michigan State University, graduated June, 1974. This major degree program encompassed most interests of the light construction industry including real estate finance and law, architecture and urban planning, materials, soil science, construction principles and management, and utility design. Business Administration minor.
General Motors Institute, Flint, MI. Freshmen year of engineering before transferring to Michigan State University. Co-op work was done at Fisher Body Central Engineering, at the Warren Tech Center.
