Responsibility: • Package Engineer responsible for delivery of the following works packages – Internal Stone Finishes, Curtain Tracks, Roller Shades, Specialist Finishes (Resin Panels and Sensitile Media Wall), Kitchen Fit outs. The total value of the packages is AED 79m. The role of a Package Engineer involves responsibility for the following :–
- Design management – Design coordination liaising with the International Project Design team and sub-contractors, to define the scope of works, fixing details and design interfaces.
- Procurement – Provide support to the procurement department for the Procurement of the Works Packages including preparation of tender documentation, mid bid interviews, post tender analysis and involvement in sub-contractor award.
- Planning – Agreeing and developing a package programme to include design works, procurement of material, material shipment, on-site storage and start on site etc. To define the sequence of activities of the main Project Programme.
- Shop drawings – In context with the sub-contractor programme, monitoring the production and issue of shop drawings by the sub-contractor and attaining approval from the Project Design team.
- Liasing with the Commercial Department –Liaising with the Project commercial team to ensure progress is accurately recorded, change management administered and necessary Package Management correspondence issued.
