COLUMBIA SUSSEX CORP., Crestview Hills, KY – Facilities Project Manager 12/05 - 5/08
Facility improvements from complete guts to architectural up grades with updating Life Safety, MPE and ADA facilities to current codes. Responsible to hire Architects, design, write scopes of work, bid and hire Contractors (GC’s or subs) for the renovation of Company Owned Hotels and Casinos undergoing renovation or Brand changes. Coordinate with local authorities for permitting. Order FFE and other material as Owner supplied materials to contractors, set up warehouse and logistics, hire on site project coordinator and Superintendent.
ï¶ Completely renovate in 10 months the 312 room downtown Atlanta Marriott as required by the PIP. Upon final inspection by Marriott, received $1 Million franchise credit.
ï¶ Perform $ 23 million in renovations at the Tropicana in Atlantic City in 14 months while the casino remained in operation.

MULACH PARKING STRUCTURES, Bridgeville, PA. - Chief Estimator 11/90 - 4/93
Estimating hard, design / build and conceptual post tension pre-stressed castellated beam parking garages throughout the Northeast and northern states.
ï¶ Reduced turn around time of conceptual estimates from two weeks to three days after combining all estimating and proposal writing under the estimating department along with having a single Cadd draftsman assigned to the estimating department to produce the initial layout for proposals.
ï¶ Discovered and compensated for errors in the evaluation of completed design build castellated beam post tension parking garages projects to establish a unit price cost data base. The unit prices errors of Phase I design costs caused structures to be bid at 21% markup making only 12 – 14%. After review of actual project costs it was discovered that the company was not covering its initial Phase I design costs by as much as 400%. Adjustments were made to cover all direct design cost with minor adjusts for Phase 2 design and other construction costs. After these changes all projects constructed made the total 21% markup plus an additional 3 – 4% on some projects
