Position: Senior Site Superintendent
Hired for a 208 Unit apartment project. In charge of all building construction and site work. In charge of scheduling trades, supervision of trades, RFI’s, billing, safety meetings, owner/bank requisition meetings, material purchases, and AIA documentation, submittals, shop drawings, architect walk-through, inspections, and testing. I ran the entire project by myself without any other field personnel present. I began with the demolition and asbestos abatement and ended with turning over the certificate of occupancy in 14 months time.
Since no other projects existed, I was moved into the main office, where I put public works bids together along with the Vice President of construction. I review the plans and documentation, solicit subcontractor bids, review their proposals to comply with the specifications and negotiate the prices. In charge of the spreadsheet updating, bonds, and all pertinent documentation needed. Upon completion began the adjoining “Grand Cascades Lodge†which is a 110 room hotel that is fully furnished and made up of the same materials. I had similar duties as stated above. When hotel became 90% completed, I was put in charge of the Lehigh University Golf Facility being built in Bethlehem, PA.
