As you can see from my attached resume, I was incarcerated for four years. I hope this will not hinder my opportunity to become employed with this company.
Bad things sometimes happen to good people. We all make mistakes, and if you can learn from your mistakes and change your lifestyle, which I have remarkably done, you are a better person the end. Going to prison was the best thing that could have happened to me. During my incarceration time, I had plenty of time to think about my lifestyle and the choices I had made, as well as take courses. I completed a ten month drug/behavior course and a six month plumbing course. Over the last four years I have matured into a highly responsible citizen. You will not find a more reliable, honest and harder worker than I am.
I am physically fit, which would benefit me in this position. I get along very well with people and I enjoy challenges. This position is exactly what I have been looking for and would tremendously enjoy. I assure you that I would be an asset to your business.
Please allow me an opportunity to meet with you. I can promise you that you would be proud to have me on your staff. I can provide excellent references in addition to those shown on my resume upon request.
Sincerely,
Ryan Deaton
