Project Manager and customer interface for the installation and integration of video on demand (VOD) equipment for the video cable industry. Managed and controlled project deliverables, schedules, cost, network design, and field installation services.
* Launched the company’s first ever head-end server swap out while running live. Replacing a Tandberg VOD control system with a SeaChange Axiom control center during one maintenance window for Comcast. The system was successfully cut over within 8 hours with less than a 2% streaming error rate.
* Directed the installation of additional server and storage capacity at 4 customer remote sites. Providing our customer the ability to sell additional high definition video content to their customers. Project was completed within 3 months, on schedule and within budget.
HEWLETT-PACKARD/AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES 1999 - 2007
A fortune 250 company with worldwide presence providing electronic test and measurement equipment and services for the electronics, medical, telephone and network environments.
Project Manager and team lead for the hardware installation and deployment team. Providing Telecom engineering services, site planning, and risk management for Voice and Data network installations. I managed SOW and MOP generation for third party material and installation labor. I Controlled project scheduling, costs, and project completion for customers such as AT&T, Sprint, Cingular, Verizon, SBC and others.
* Managed mobile location services project (MLS) a $30 million, 3 year project effort for the installation of Agilent’s MLS equipment at over 200 Cingular and T-Mobile wireless sites. Project exceeded milestone requirements earning praise from the customer project team and upper management.
* Spearheaded AT&T remote site processor swap out project involving the deployment of HP Blade Servers using multiple crews in an 11 state arena (over 100 locations) while maintaining system and network integrity.
* Implemented use of third party labor resources to reduce project cost for travel and deployment of cross functional installation teams on nationwide site installations. The average man/hr cost savings to Agilent was 45% with added benefits of a larger work force without added head count to the organization.
* Enhanced the performance and usefulness of our outsourced material suppliers by adding system integration and staging facility at their location. Reducing labor costs by 15% and adding the flexibility of a merging and integration center without added costs to Agilent.
* Introduced a new strategy to use 3rd party material supply operations on opposite ends of the country. This enabled the project team to ship from closest location to work area. Reducing material shipment time, costs by 10% and facilitating site cutover in a more timely fashion. Establishing a new best practice for the organization.

* Drove Best Buy dual satellite dish installations and store cabling for HDTV and Direct-PC display kick off. I managed the completion of 284 stores in 6 months within budget and on schedule.
* Directed BMW’s 218 store rollout for the installation of server, fiber and network cabling, VSAT and dual modem data communications, network hubs, workstations and printers for BMW dealer business operations.
ITS INC. 1996 – 1998
A privately held manufacturer and installer of Airline Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS).
Project Manager for airport flight information display system (FIDS) installations. Architect and subcontractor interface for system and display planning, scheduling and coordination. Travel both domestically and overseas for construction management. On site manager for systems installations and testing before site completion.
* Led cross functional team for all aspects of Guam International Airport flight information system (FIDS). This was a 1.5 million dollar, phased, long-term project, which was completed mid-summer of 1998 within schedule.
* Coordinated FIDS system growth at Detroit Metro Airport terminal C expansion project. Completed network expansion, software upgrade, ramp signage with CCTV and public monitor displays on time and within budget.
ADVANTEST AMERICA INC. 1990 – 1998
A Japanese multinational manufacturer of electronic test and automated VLSI and Memory Test Equipment systems.
Product Engineer and direct report to the General Manager, duties included product engineering, production facilities planning, process improvement and responsibility for five engineering staff members. I managed decisions that directly affected production operations, production control, scheduling, and unit assembly departments.
* Created vendor auditing, selection, and transmittal of fabrication process as part of my product engineering function for mechanical components, PCBs and wire cable harness assemblies used in system production.
