Apr 2000 to June 2009 - Drafter II Hydrarig Nov Ft. Worth Tx 9 years – Making Down–the-hole equipment and vehicles for the Oil Well Industry - As a Drafter II I was responsible for working directly with an engineer, ensuring that all of his designs were displayed in a functional and appropriate manner, where they could be built with the least amount of trouble, I was also responsible for checking the work of the drafters from the “bullpen” a collage of drafters that were deemed appropriate but were not assigned to any given engineer. I checked existing designs improving them and giving the improvements to an engineer for authorization, I also checked the engineers work for oversights. My areas of expertise were Hydraulics, Electronics, Pneumatics, and mechanical engineering.
Apr 1995 – April 2000 - Drafter/Designer Federal sign Co. Arlington Tx. 5 years – Making Large and expensive signage for America – As a drafter designer I was responsible for engineering and designing most of the signs you see today that are large and complex. To include most of the ones in Los Vegas and some in New York, if the signs required a professional engineer I worked with them, when required I worked with a team of artists, drafters, assemblymen, etc. I did sheetmetal, electronics, neon, plastics, vinyl, paint, etc. Whatever it took to get the job done, When I finished my AutoCad drafting I welded, did assembly work, painted or what was needed to finish the job.
Mar 1993 – April 1995 - Oem Inc In charge of drafting Ft Worth Tx 3 years – A small company that made machinery for PVC pipe fabrication, we made tanks for heating, saws, coilers, magnetic sensors, PVC pipe welders for pipes over 4’ in diameter, I had a secondary duty of writing manuals for the machines and did a lot of the programming for the machines,
Nov 1990 C.C.R.D. Inc. Drafter I Dallas Tx. 5 years - M.E.P. for government contracts, business and hospitals. Architectural Drafter using MicroStation. I have a long list of projects that include Tinker Air Force Base, Baylor Hospital and some sites that were so confidential that we were not given the names.
