I've been working as an adjuster for Adjusters International in La. during Rita, and as an estimator for Jefferson County. I did all the scopes for Jefferson Co. Courthouse, Mirriam Johnson Tax Office, Jefferson Co. Morgue, DPS Office, Precinct 6, Mosquito Control, Jefferson Co. Maintenance div., and par of the $110mil. claim for the Jefferson Co. Airport.
I've also been working as an independent estimator for locals devastated by hurricane Ike.
I have a lot of experience chasing storms to line up emergency services.
I am already set up to travel. I have a 2006 37' Wildwood, and a newer model Ford Expedition for a professional representation. I have Xactimate already set up and paid for this year, and I'm a very detailed estimator. I can prepare a detailed components list and Labor cost projection. I can prepare a supervisor check lists, to insure the times allotted for each phase of contracted work, for financial communications and understanding by the supervisor. I have personally run rebuild crews and subcontractors in excess of twenty men with four foreman. I've also designed and built three custom homes, one of which my wife and I built all but the concrete. I'm telling you all this to show you that I am highly capable of being very thorough when it comes to obligating the company I work for.
I'm great at tactfully bringing a customer back to reality after they've sustained a large loss. I never assume a customer cannot afford to upgrade from the post condition of thier home, however, I listen very well so as to determine their ability to be a viable paying customer with regards to anything beyond insurance liability. I know how to read and wright statements of loss, so rarely do I make mistakes when dealing with adjusters.
I feel that my best quality is the mere fact that I know I don't know everything. After all, half the part of being smart, is knowing what you don't know. I learn new things everyday, and I love this work.
I've sent you a resume' attatched to this email. I have a great deal of experience in carpet, upholstery, and air duct cleaning. I've done lots of home shows and public speaking on air quality. I've trained people in a classroom setting for xactimate, air duct cleaning, upholstery and fabric identification, carpet cleaning and upselling to maximize profits. I've also trained in the field for water extraction and remediation techniques used to help prep for rebuild, recon crews for all areas of remodeling done inhouse, and for supv/foreman checklists done on xactimate for better communication to the supv/foreman's financial understanding of his job security, and mine. Ultimately we all need to be profitable or we don't have careers. I refuse to be a financial burden to any company, and so far as I can tell, I haven't been. I feel that given the right company to work for, I can be a very profitable asset.
Thank you for your time,
Troy Guidry
