HEAVY EARTHWORKS
Provide leadership, guidance and support to the Construction Manager and Project Team;
Work with the responsible Project Managers, Purchasing and Human Resources departments to ensure that people, information, materials and equipment are in place to support project requirements;
Work with Senior Construction Manager to resolve issues affecting safety, efficiency or quality throughout the site; Schedule and organize project work, including detailed work schedules
Ensure that all completed components and assemblies meet applicable codes, standards, project specifications established by contract requirements and legislative bodies; Ensure that corporate, legislative, safety and environmental regulations are met or exceeded.
Ability to help build strong teams through excellent communication skills, coaching, leadership and support networks; Coordinate overall project activity and organization of resources (people, material, information and equipment) to meet project schedules safely, efficiently and meeting quality requirements.
Meet with stakeholders to discuss scheduling, progress reports, project status and any change orders, problems or issues Manage Subcontractor relationships including safety performance, work progress and scheduling, and facilitation of information exchange Confirm quantities and schedule for delivery of materials and supplies Administer change orders, including estimating costs, obtaining cost estimates from subcontractors, doing material take-offs if required, submitting costs to client for approval, and maintaining the master change order. Participate in company safety programs and perform site safety inspections and audits Additional project support as required

• Supervise and inspect construction or alterations to include heavy earthworks
• Supervise all underground piping, utilities, to include drainage and electrical.
