Gentlemen,
For the past 36 years I have worked in the construction industry as a general contractor and design/builder. I started my career in estimating; ten years later I managed my own division and most recently as Vice President of a national construction group. I have held at least a Directors role or higher in Operations, Business Development, Project Management, and Pre-Construction Services. As you look toward the future it makes sense to have people on your team who can strengthen your company in many different roles. Flexibility gives your company options and improves profitability. I will provide added strength and flexibility to your team.
People in our business typically have experience in two or three product groups. That is what sets me apart. I have hands-on experience in many product groups-- healthcare, retail, office, industrial, senior housing, federal, education, commercial, hospitality, multi family, and public works. In most cases I developed the client, estimated the cost, managed the construction, and even helped the client with the ground breaking and open house. It makes sense to have people on your staffs who are highly experienced. Diversity opens the door for new business and growth. My diverse background allows you to add product groups and additional services.
To be successful in the construction business today it takes more than just construction expertise. It takes strong people skills, the ability to formulate relationships and proven leadership experience to achieve success. Finding a solution to a problem requires creative thinking sometimes outside of the box. We need to ask what if, where are we going, and how are we going to get there to finding the solution. It makes sense to have people whose skills go beyond construction. I am a leader that will offer new ideas, creative solutions and strong business development skills.
As you look towards the future; what new services or new product groups can you offer? Do you have the talent in place for the next growth cycle? What are your team’s strengths and weaknesses? What can we do to improve our company for the long run? Do you have the people in place to add a Health Care group or pursue Senior Housing? Now is the time to grow and diversify your business, to formulate a plan for controlled growth and increased market share. I know that my experience, leadership, diversity, and flexibility can help your company in many different ways.
I would love to talk with you about the future and your plans for 2010 and beyond.
Sincerely,
Mike
