Why do some projects get built better and faster than others? Is it because they hired a great design team, a great contractor or is it something else? It’s more likely that they hired a construction expert who possesses the wisdom of what a developer is looking for so his project stands out, the insight of how the architect designs an environment end users dream about, comprehension of the building codes and the knowledge of cost effective construction methods. That’s what I bring to the table.
After 30 years of being involved in day to day efforts in building high rise, office buildings, rentals, both market rate and affordable, mixed use, medical offices, renovations, restaurants and specialty buildings for owners and ourselves, you come to the realization that your design team will make mistakes and who suffers? It’s you the owner.
Let’s face it, the contractor’s best friend is his change order. If your goal is to avoid change orders, prevent RFI’s from holding up the job and keeping money in your contingency fund then invest in another set of eyes that posses the know-how of constructability. It only makes sense for you to take advantage and minimize your exposure.
You deserve to have a construction professional working for you. Someone who can advise you at every step in the process, someone who has worked through past mistakes, understands why they happened and astute enough to prevent them from happening in the future. You need someone who can pull from his vast experience to be proactive in solving problems, and offering creative solutions. Someone with intelligence and experience to guide your design team to accomplish a complete, accurate and buildable set of construction documents with your interest in mind.
That’s what I can do for you, utilizing my construction experience to work with the design team to pinpoint the errors that have caught us by surprise in the past and address them in the present. This coordination is paramount in the success of preventing problems before they can come back and hurt you.
The name Arkin is synonymous with quality and honesty and integrity. We take the attitude when we begin work on your project that we are the owners. It’s this dedication to excellence that will insure the success of your project.
“The real critical path begins with the construction documents.â€
“If you can’t build it on paper you can’t build it in the fieldâ€
