Scope of Project
Construction on the 42.6 acre property will provide the Charleston County School District approximately 350,000 square feet of both middle and high school classroom buildings, along with shared administration/media center, dining areas, gymnasium, auditorium, and a central energy plant. Approximately 78 million dollar project.
Responsibilities
Operate and control surveying instruments in order to record and disclose data. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Provide layout, oversight, coordination, and planning of building structures.
Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
Direct or participate in surveying to layout installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
Determine architectural requirements and features that meet aesthetic and functional requirements. Review plans, specifications, cost estimates, project documents, and reports for completeness, technical adequacy, functional design, sound architectural and engineering practice, and compliance with all applicable criteria and codes
Develop quality control reports and daily log documentations using constructware and word processing applications.
