Estimator and Construction Site Supt. 1996-2009
Plan, organize, and manage mechanical projects for one of the premiere mechanical contracting companies in Texas. Responsibilities include design and blueprint review and analysis of projects, review of construction documents, bidding, negotiations, sub contractor selection, material purchasing, scheduling, project budget, building code compliance, project development, and quality control through final inspection. Supervise crews or up to 100 trade workers.
KEY PROJECT AND SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Recruited to assist the primary MEP contractor in troubleshooting structural and design problems during the construction of a multi-tower full service hospital.
• Lockheed Martin – Completed multi-million dollar flight simulation facility for the F-22/F-35 Joint Strike Fighters.
• Oversaw the construction of numerous multi-level office buildings. Completed within deadline despite material delays and architectural design challenges.

7/96 – 2/97 HVAC Mechanic
Responsibilities include but not limited to; lay-out and installation of duct systems and related equipment utilizing helpers with no or limited supervision, as well as troubleshooting and making modifications to air systems when necessary.
2/97 – 6/03 HVAC Foreman
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Oversaw the installation of HVAC systems with a crew size of up to 30 men. Material take-off and equipment acquisition, payroll, scheduling, and coordination between trades. Bring in jobs in on time and under budget.
6/03 – 11/06 Superintendant
Responsibilities include all of those listed above including the direct supervision of an entire mechanical project including plumbing and piping with crew sizes in excess of 100 tradesman. Clerical and administrative duties greatly increased, such as labor feedback , manpower analysis and review, as well as, planning, coordination and scheduling for multiple projects running simultaneously.
11/06 – present Estimator
As part of the estimating team my duties consisted of being the sole estimator of ant and all mechanical systems on the “air†side. Which include air handlers, ductwork, fixtures, and accessories. Through spec review and determining job scope, my take-off, whether graphical or audit trail, provides material and labor costs, as well as, manhours needed for bid. This, in addition to collecting quotes and a comprehensive bid review, with senior management, would determine the final bid.
