Work History:
12/2004 – 12/2008 Murray Company - St. Louis, Missouri
Senior project engineer/Assistant Project Manager
My position started as Project Engineer and ended as a Senior Project Engineer/Assistant. I worked for the Vice President of Operations or with the Principal in charge of the St. Louis office. I traveled extensively throughout Illinois and Missouri to build over 200,000 square feet of new or renovated hospital space. I had indirect dealings with the Illinois Department of Public Health and local code authorities. In two years I was involved with over $25,000,000 of hospital / medical space. I was responsible for project buyout, contract negotiating, managing the construction process, and project close out. A letter of reference is available. Achievements start with my advancement from project engineer to senior project engineer and continue with the reporting to the vice president and the principal of the St. Louis office. Numerous facilities were able to move in their new spaces as designed and planned with weather delays and material issues.
12/2002 – 12/2004
Hahn Custom Trim Work and Woodworking – Cadet, Missouri
Owner / Fabricator
The biggest accomplishment was on the personal side. My youngest son came to live with me in 2002. I used this as two opportunities. 1. To be available to for him in this new environment, support him with school and his activities. He ended up graduating on the nation honor roll, achieved numerous sport awards, and attended post secondary school in Nashville, and is now serving our country in the army. 2. Was to use my management and knowledge of construction to develop my own business within the construction industry. It worked. Professionally I upgraded and improved the layout and appearance in numerous kitchens, and other living spaces.
5/2000 – 12/2002
Hensley Construction – St. Louis
Project Manager
Completed construction on two tilt wall construction buildings. This was over 60,000 of new construction. One project was completed by the fast track process. Assisted the Vice President of Estimating with estimating take off and bid evaluations. I managed projects with an electronic project management software program. A major accomplishment was to complete the new regional facility of a national company on time after encountering numerous conditions with the soil and material delivery. The office had the confidence to allow me to assist the Vice President of Estimating, which allowed him to take on additional projects.
12/2002 – 12/1998
Larry Bast Construction – St. Louis
Project Manager
I worked directly for the Owner managing projects. I completed construction on a Tilt wall office building and fit out, new medical office building and fit out. I completed as required and needed construction on numerous retail and office spaces. I also assisted the owner in estimating projects. I achieved the confidence of the owner to allow me mange projects on my own with only minimal involvement from him. This in turned also allowed him to pursue additional projects.
1990 – 1998
Children’s Hospital / BJC Health Care – St. Louis
Project Manger
As previously stated, I was involved in the construction administration of the New St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 1982. In 1990 I was hired by the vice president of Facilities to manage the design and construction of the renovation and additions that were now needed after 7 years. This is contributable to my previous knowledge of the facility, and the owner’s working knowledge of my abilities and experience on the original hospital. During my tenure at Children’s Hospital / BJC Health Care, I was involved in the design and construction of a 2,000 car post stressed concrete parking garage with precast concrete, hospital atrium addition, a free standing employee day care center, surgery suite addition, new bone marrow transplant department, site development of a new $32,000,000 hospital addition to a BJC facility, and numerous renovation at other BJC Facilities located west of St. Louis over an eight year period.

Why me and not the other candidates? That is the most key question to be answered. Part of it I feel is what is written above. Other keys items are my references, and what they will confirm. And lastly, speaking to me in person will also confirm I will only be an asset to my new employer.
