Dec 2008 – Present: Consultant
Work with small grading contractors to sell services and service clients. Oversee contractors crews to ensure a quality product is delivered.
2005 – 2008: Lot Development Manager
Manage all aspects of Horizontal construction. Communicate with multiple developers to ensure lots are delivered in accordance with builder’s specifications. Manage company safety and environmental program, along with conducting periodic site safety inspections.
• Managed the development of Bridgewater Subdivision in Holly Springs
• Developed inspection criteria for the acceptance of Lots

2000 – 2005 Plant Manager
Provide direction and production management within a Precast Concrete plant with 25 to 40 hourly laborers. Schedule and manage weekly production, ranging from 30 to 80 Cubic Yards of concrete in a daily pour, consisting of products ranging from 4’ diameter manholes to large utility Vaults and bridges. Coordinate shipping of all produced products with Dispatch Manager. Manage all Bills of Materials for weekly production. Provide input to the General Manager on all production concerns. Manage plant safety and quality control program.

1998 – 2000 First Sergeant
Provided leadership within a Heavy Construction Engineer Headquarters Company with 217 assigned personnel. Monitored and maintained the units’ horizontal construction proficiency to maintain the units’ capability to deploy and conduct its construction mission. Advised the commander on all personnel issues and administrative functions. Enforced strict supply accountability and the maintenance for over $40 million worth of equipment. Developed junior leaders by utilizing a vigorous counseling and evaluation program.
• Coordinated a multiple unit deployment to White Sands, NM, resulting in the successful completion of various types of horizontal construction projects.
• Managed all company administrative actions resulting in commendable ratings during Battalion and Group Inspections.
• Used thorough knowledge of training management principles to ensure the company maintained a high level of readiness
1996 – 1998 Senior Enlisted Engineer Advisor
Provided instruction, tactical, technical and leadership guidance to an Army National Guard Engineer Group including subordinate units and a United States Army Reserve battalion and subordinate detachments within the state of Wisconsin. Advised unit commanders in the areas of technical and tactical leader training, logistics, maintenance, administration and doctrinal employment.
• Ensured the flawless mobilization and rapid deployment of the 336th Engineer Detachment to Bosnia.
• Led the lane training and leader observer controller validation.
1991 – 1996 Platoon Sergeant
Responsible for the coordinated activities of personnel operating a variety of heavy equipment ranging from Water Well Drilling Rigs to Bulldozers in locations throughout the world. Monitored the crew maintenance of over $4million worth of engineer equipment. Conducts planning, coordination and quality control for well drilling and horizontal construction operations in support of FORSCOM’S worldwide mission.
• Coordinated logistical support for well drilling operations for a 60-day deployment in the deserts of New Mexico.
• Coordinated all logistical requirements and successfully completed the drilling of 6 wells during a 90 day deployment to Guatemala
• Took over the construction of the Fort Bragg Ammo Supply Point, which was behind schedule and completed the project on time.
• Managed the construction of three airfields and over 30 miles of class 60 roads during a six month deployment to Haiti.
