CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Planning · Value Engineering · Contract Negotiation · Quality Control · Profit
Highly accomplished Construction Manager with superior knowledge of the design-build construction industry and over 25 years of experience on projects ranging in cost from $1 million to $200 million. Of the varied types of facilities constructed in the Healthcare, Hospitality, Office and Financial Facility sectors, over 50 projects have been completed in the Financial Facility sector alone. All projects were successfully completed through coordination meetings with planning officials, building officials, design partners and clients, early budget analysis, budget corrective value engineering, aggressive vendor buyout, results-oriented site management, and ongoing quality, safety and cost control.
Responsible for the overall management of multiple Financial Facility projects constructed simultaneously within the eastern United States. Responsibilities include planning, staffing, hiring, budget analysis, value engineering, permitting, scheduling, bidding, buyout, contract negotiation, contract preparation, cost control, cost forecasting, punch list preparation, safety & quality control within a Design-Build environment. While overseeing 4 to 6 projects at a time as the sole point of contact and responsibility between the company and client, several of these $2 million to $6 million dollar projects were increased in value-added scope by up to $1 million dollars during the construction phase. The “soup to nuts†approach at this firm provided an end product, that included strategic consulting on size, location and layout of the facility, the design of the facility, the construction of the facility, procurement and installation of the security equipment, design and installation of branding and retail merchandising features and furniture installation. Upon completion of this turn-key process, the client could conduct business the day the facility was turned over.
