PROJECT PLANNING & CONTROL ENGINEER
Worked in an Enterprise Environment as Project Planning & Control Engineer for the planning and development of campuses departments. Major responsibilities in each project were as follows:
• Developed Master Time Schedule on Primavera P3 Software (E/C) that included developing Work Break down Structure (WBS) with respect to Project Phases for example Design, Procurement, Construction and Testing & Commissioning Phases. Creating Resource Profile, Assigning Codes to the activities, Investigate and Analyze Schedule Impact (what-if Analysis), Monitoring Project and Contract Progress by comparing baseline schedule with actual schedule, Total float analysis, Creating different Layouts and Project Reports for all building Projects. Also got sound knowledge of import/export regulations and value management systems.
Major responsibilities in the following completed projects were as under:
• LABORATORY BUILDING
The responsibilities included preparing Project EPC Schedule, Turnover Schedule and Recovery Schedules based upon input from the Project Engineer; his/her field staff and the subcontractors. Update the Project Construction Schedule on a regular basis based upon input from Project Engineer, his/her field staff and sub-contractors. Promptly reporting any schedule slippage to the Project Engineer and his/her field staff so that appropriate remedial actions could be taken to mitigate delays. Closing of EPC Schedule on completion of project to reflect the final actual start and completion dates of all construction activities.
• WOMEN RESIDENCE
Planning and scheduling using Primavera P3 (E/C), cost and budgetary estimates, bid package preparation, and other requirements for the construction management of 100,000 sft area building project.
• ONCOLOGY BUILDING
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, responsibilities included development of work breakdown structures, Preparation and updating schedule using Microsoft project 2003, Preparation schedule trend estimates versus actual trend, weekly and monthly progress reports, Worked with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs, Attended weekly contract meetings, material & quantity take-off, Preparation of Cash flow, checking of contractor’s bills with RE and Preparation of monthly cost variation.
• AMBULATORY CARE BUILDING
Reporting to the Project Control Manager, responsibilities included Preparation of Master/Work Program, construction schedule using Primavera P3 (E/C), Monitoring and updating actual work progress, Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Reports, Prepared schedule trend estimates versus actual trend, Analyzed causes of delay and suggested recovery measures, Cost Control, Quantity Surveying, Man hour’s calculation, Co-ordination with Consultants and Contractors regarding work progress.
Responsibilities as Project Engineer on the following projects with a leading construction management firm, INTEG included:
• LIAQUAT NATIONAL HOSPITAL (SIX STORY BUILDING PROJECT)
Reporting to the Project Manager, responsibilities included detailed site supervision of works as well as preparation of overall project schedule using Primavera, Monitoring and updating project schedule and report construction progress, schedule resource loading and leveling, Preparing schedule trend estimates versus actual trend, Preparation of Weekly & Monthly Reports & Cost variation, attended weekly coordination meeting.
• CHINIOT GENERAL HOSPITAL (ADMIN BUILDING/PRIVATE WARD PROJECTS)
