Project Manager (2000 – 2001)
Served as project manager for this mechanical contracting business. Installations included plan and specification bid work as well as direct client turnkey services. Projects included a $1 million HVAC contract for Iroqouis Central School District, a $1 million HVAC project for WIVB-TV, and various other commercial contracts. Scheduled and directed skilled trades labor, subcontractors, and material procurement.

Project Manager / Field Superintendent (1995 – 2000)
Managed a variety of construction projects including the $ 1.7 million fire alarm system at Verizon’s 16-story Buffalo headquarters, the $2.7 million installation of mechanical room chillers and $9 million in ongoing general office and equipment facility renovation projects for Verizon (NYNEX), United Airlines’ $11 million fit-out at the Buffalo/Niagara Airport, and test inspection of vibration dampening devices for the Los Angeles City Hall Seismic Rehabilitation Project.

Project Site Engineer (1992 – 1995)
Assured quality control for the mechanical design and construction of $ 33 million University at Buffalo (SUNY) School of Medicine laboratory research facility with contract documents and codes. Coordinated construction scheduling with contractors, vendors, and engineering firm. Also responsible for site observation and commissioning services. Maintained change orders to $250,000.
JOSEPH DAVIS, INC. – Buffalo, NY
Project Engineer – Energy Management Automation (1988 – 1991)
Recruited to provide contract coordination, field quality control, and system start-up operations for turnkey HVAC projects with energy management systems. Also responsible for project estimating, as well as plan and specification bid work. Major customers included KeyBank, Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, and Williamsville School Systems.
BARBER COLMAN CO. (Environmental Controls and Air Distribution divisions) – Buffalo, NY
Construction Operations Manager (1980 – 1984)
Managed new construction projects requiring design, engineering, and installation of controls and energy management systems for HVAC systems. Managed all phases of project work ranging including the evaluation of electrical subcontractor bids; definition of materials, equipment and labor; and final start-up. Hired and trained steamfitters and electrical technicians, administered payroll, and scheduled installation crews.
We were the first to introduce energy management systems to Millard Fillmore Hospital (Gates Circle and Suburban locations). Earlier, held positions of Drafter, Technician, Application Engineer and Contract Operations Manager.
