EXPERIENCE:
11/06 – 1/09 MEP Coordinator – Perini Building Company Las Vegas, Nevada
• MGM Mirage City Center Hotel & Casino Resort – A 9.3 billion dollar LEED Silver project. The largest of its kind ever attempted in the United States. My responsibilities include interpreting and accurately evaluating scope of work in the project documents. Evaluate schedule and plans to determine when materials are to be procured and installed. Provide updated procurement information weekly to the scheduler assigned to the project. Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates relating to subcontractor work. I also work closely with the subcontractors to produce submittal shop drawings through the 3D-CAD coordination process. Regularly meet with the owner, AOR, and EOR to gather design information and process it to the field for construction. Create RFI’s through review of drawing’s and analyzing responses. And through field walks make sure the installation of services are progressing per the construction schedule. I Schedule Testing, Flushing, Balancing of MEP systems. Commissioning and start-up of life safety systems to achieve C of O for turn over to ownership. Additional information upon request.
9/05-11/06 Construction Superintendent – WHITING-TURNER Las Vegas, Nevada
• Las Vegas Springs Preserve- a LEED Platinum project for the water district. Using alternative construction methods such as straw bail construction, rammed earth, and using renewable resources. I was responsible for approximately $30M of the $112M contract.
7/04-9/05 Construction Superintendent – WHITING-TURNER East Fishkill, New York
• In New York with a team of 7 other superintendents I oversaw the activities of some 650 construction personal at IBM’s $500M expansion to their computer Mfg plant at peak we were billing $30M a month.
9/03-06/04 Production Foreman – SOUTHLAND INDUSTRIES Sterling, Virginia
• Directed the activities of 43 sheet metal mechanics. Responsible for overseeing the installation through punch out phase of the HVAC system on the new $100m Nero-Science Research Facility at the National Institute of Health, (NIH). Bethesda, Maryland. Before the end of this project I took over the responsibilities of general foreman. At the second phase or (wedge) of the Pentagon after the reconstruction of wedge one do to the tragedy on 9/11. Shortly after I joined Whiting-Turner.
10/95- 8/03 General Foreman - SUPERIOR AIR HANDLING CORP. Portland, Oregon
• Traveled extensively to many of the company’s high profile sites nationally. Installed and troubleshot problems as they arose. Construction sites varied in size from $100M, to Billion plus; such as Cancer Care Alliance, Seattle, WA; Reliant Stadium, Houston Texas; and the Washington DC Convention Center, LSI Logic; Gresham, Oregon, and Wafer Technologies, Camas, Washington; Intel Campus, Aloha, Oregon. My responsibility varied greatly in this mid-management position from installation to managing labor and organizing material. As well as coordinating and problem solving field issues while handling safety concerns.
