TARGET - STAMFORD, CT
Area Superintendent in charge of carpentry and precast for a $40 million dollar new retail center for the Target Corporation in Downtown Stamford, CT. The 145,000 sf retail center was constructed on top of a new four-level parking garage. Some unique characteristics about the project include utilizing steel beam and girder construction on top of the 289,000 sf precast parking garage; a cast-in-place footing foundation; and, performing all work in a tight, active urban location with no lay down area. This project was completed one month ahead of schedule.
STOP & SHOP - Jackson, NJ
Superintendent for a $9 million complete renovation of an existing 52,000 sf supermarket and 22,000 sf new addition. The entire project was completed in five phases while the store remained open for business. Renovations consisted of new front and rear mezzanines, Boston retail ceiling system in the check-out area, and all new preparation areas for a number of grocery departments. The shopping center parking area was also reconfigured and new site lighting, detention/storm water, grading and paving work installed.
A&P – Matawan, NJ
Superintendent for a $5 million new construction of a 74,000 sf upscale supermarket. Building elements included a structural steel frame, split-faced masonry façade, decorative finishers and a state-of-the-art refrigeration system. Part of a new shopping center which also includes several retail stores, this A&P was completed within six months.
HARBORSIDE FINANCIAL CENTER PLAZA 10A - Jersey City, NJ
Area superintendent in charge of carpentry curtain wall, coordinating and setting the pace of other area superintendents on a $90 million, 18-story tower totaling 684,000 sf with 575,000 sf of Class A office space. The steel-framed structure consists of a unitized curtain wall system and granite panel façade. The south and east walls of the building are all glass while the north and west walls incorporate glass curtain wall and granite panels. The ground floor accommodates retail stores, child care center, cafeteria, and elevator lobby to service the office tower. Site improvements include multi-tiered pedestrian plaza featuring granite and concrete landscaping, seawall reconstruction, and a public waterfront esplanade.
HARBORSIDE FINANCIAL CENTER PLAZA 4A - Jersey City, NJ
Area superintendent in charge of carpentry, miscellaneous steel, curtain wall, elevator shaft and coordination of other trades on a $50 million, 10-story structure totaling 610,000 sf with seven levels of post-tension parking deck and three levels of Class A office space. The site is situated on the Jersey City waterfront and spans two subway tunnels requiring piles, caissons, and massive foundation beams. The façade system incorporates a variety of materials including granite, precast brick panels, glazed curtain wall, and an illuminated parapet. The project was completed on a fast-track basis in 13 months to accommodate tenant requirements.
CIRCUIT CITY - East Brunswick, NJ
Superintendent for the $3 million construction of a 33,000 sf electronic super store in an existing, occupied shopping center. Work includes extensive demolition and underground shoring of adjacent building that required close coordination with Township officials and complicated logistics to keep the shopping center fully operational while addressing safety concerns. This project was worked 24/7 for two thirds of the project in order to meet the compressed schedule.
CENTER FOR NURSING AND REHABILITATION – Brooklyn, NY
Superintendent on preconstruction services for a new $4 million community center facility and $7 million in renovations of the existing nursing facility. The renovations consisted of installing a new passenger elevator and completely upgrading and renovating the center’s kitchen. Additionally, each residential room was aesthetically upgraded with new lighting fixtures, vinyl wall covering, built-in millwork, wall protection, and new heating and air conditioning system. The new community center also accommodated physician offices, rehabilitation services, and ambulatory care functions.
A&P SUPERMARKET - Corlandt, NY
Superintendent on this 110,000 sf steel construction frame supermarket. Exterior, split-faced block up to 12-foot decorative EIFS high façade and cornice, two story cathedral ceiling over produce area, 4-ply built up roof, prefabricated refrigerator and electrical house on roof, mezzanine offices, and employee lounge. Full underground slab refrigeration system with access pits, underground slab wire runs for all cash wraps.
DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY - New York, NY
Superintendent on this project entailed the conversion of office space into a state of the art radiology facility. As Construction Manager, JMB provided all aspects of pre-construction an consulting service through the design development process identifying extensive value engineering alternatives and construct ability recommendations.
The new facility features a three-story atrium and a contemporary Radiology services Center. The center accommodates two magnetic imaging machines and nuclear imaging equipment as well as bone densitometry and tomography radoifluoroscopy equipment. Reading rooms are equipped with the latest technology including fiber optics and digital distribution communications systems.
WESTSIDE YMCA - New York, NY
Superintendent on the YMCA of greater New York was represented by JMB during their negotiations with the developer who purchased a portion of the site and air right to build a 41-story tower. In addition to adding 25,000 sf of program space and 66 residential units totaling 44,000 sf. JMB managed all work related to connecting the developer’s tower and the YMCA building.
MCBURNEY YMCA - New York, NY
Superintendent on the 14,000 sf McBurney YMCA located on west 23rd street required significant renovations to increase its residential capacity as well as expand the physical suites were added on four floors of this seven-story building. All new showers and bathrooms were installed throughout the residential floors. A new expanded aerobics area was added as well as new showers, lockers, and saunas for both men’s and women’s changing rooms.
SOUTHSHORE CENTER YMCA - Staten Island, NY
Superintendent on the competition-sized pool, with significant structural problems, required complete reconstruction. JMB assembled a team of experts and engineers who evaluated and proposed waterproofing methods and materials, and developed a methodology to ensure that the new pool would be structurally sound. With intricate planning and coordination, the work was performed on a fast-track basis to minimize disruptions to the YMCA’s other facilities. The projects was completed in just four months.

Superintendent on a 89,000 sf steel structure with 12†split face block with full length mezzanine with offices, break room, bathrooms and elevator. Three loading docks, full VCT flooring with elevated flooring built in large strip mall.
UPS WAREHOUSE, Newark, NJ
Superintendent on this ground up warehouse with 52 loading docks, 582,000 sf block and steel construction with bathrooms, offices and lunch rooms.
A&P SUPERMARKET – Brick, NJ
Superintendent on a 5.8 million ground up 82,000 sf. Steel framed, split faced block, full underground to street and paving. Full fit out to include large bakery with custom millwork and stainless steel walls. Roof top refrigeration, mezzanine for employee lounge, bathrooms and offices. Front millwork for custom cash wraps and checkout.
COLUMBIA MEMORIAL HOSPTIAL – Hudson, NY
Area superintendent on this 62,000 sf, four story addition with full refit of existing operating rooms and reinforced existing structure. Footprint 5 acres with parking lots. In charge of carpentry, steel and all finishes. Overlooked aggressive schedule for other trades and superintendents. New first floor emergency, six new operating rooms along with new and refinished psychiatric ward.

Superintendent on this $36 million, 35,000 sf store on an 8 acre lot. Underground to street and paving. Installation of retention pond. Steel construction with steel split face block. Included offices, bathrooms and 2 loading docks.
POWERS LAW OFFICE – Moorestown, NJ
Superintendent on this $5.6 million, two story, 48, 000 sf ground up on 6 acres. Graded and paved, installed retention pond, steel construction with curtain wall. Full fit out with elevator and high end oak millwork and doors along with front pond.
Experience also includes work on various small retail ground ups 3 – 4 at a time. To include: Columbia Bank $1.3 million

UNDERWOOD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FAMILY & WOMEN’S HEALTH CENTER, Mullica Hill, NJ
Superintendent on this 18,000 sf fit out to include underground slab and all above slab work. This Project was scheduled for 10 months and reduced to 5 months for all phases of the project which included full finishes and millwork. This project included 22 exam rooms, 2 mamo rooms, variety of offices, file rooms, equipment rooms and labs. Full State and Local inspections were met in a timely fashion in order to obtain Department of Health scheduled inspections.
UNDERWOOD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER, Mullica Hill, NJ
Superintendent on this 16,000 sf fit out to include underground slab and all above slab work. A large and integrate HVAC and med gas system. The project included 4 exam rooms, a 10 bed pre-op with a full nursing station and isolation room, a 6 bed post-op with a full nursing station and isolation room, med gas storage rooms, 2 full employee showers and locker room, staff lounges and 5 operating rooms. We also provided full hook ups for sterilizers, a full HEPA filter systems, structural mounts for all operating room lights, clean and soil rooms along with a variety of business offices and storage areas to include a waiting area. This project was scheduled for a 9 month duration and was completed in 23 weeks. Full State and Local inspections were met in a timely fashion in order to obtain Department of Health scheduled inspections.
