Looking to work for/with honest and quality driven employer who appreciates hard work. Employers who "get rid of the bad apples" are highly preferred!
Objective:
To work with an employer that strives for success through quality work and reputation.
Skills:
Over 10 years experience in high end rough to finish residential and light commercial construction and renovations. My specialty is finish work.
Basics-Measure twice and cut once, the 3,4,5 and X rule when squaring. Whether screwing or shooting decking on a floor system take a minute to glue. This especially applies to stairs, treads and risers. Nothing worse than a squeaky floor and stairs! A string never lies. Never assume studs are 16. Be conscientious of nail/screw pattern on decks, fascia, soffit and other places visible.
Framing-I can layout floor systems, walls, level and square. Jacks, tees, corners and headers. Layout and cut rafters. I am not a roofer even though I can flash, paper and shingle. I do not care for a steady diet of such. I am good and patient with doing changes such as moving walls, dimension changes and add-ins to existing frame ups. Build decks and railing as so forth.
Flooring-Hardwood, laminates, vinyl, and tile on floors and wall, as well as proper surface prep before install. I can lay and repair carpet, but will do only on occasion if needed.
Finish/Trim-Cut and install any trim package paint or stain grade base, casing, crown, cap or mold whether it be coped, mitered, or square butted with extreme precision. Custom shelving, beam wraps, jambs, sills,
Installs-Doors, windows, cabinets along with kick, trim, rail, crown and all hardware. Sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, plumbing and fixture I am familiar with copper, PEX, PVC, and all techniques such as sweating, gluing, cutting and layout. All appliances and fixtures providing there is a rough-in wire.
Painting/Drywall-Many years of experience. It was a mainstay of one of my personal businesses. Experienced in all aspect from spay to cut-in and surface prep. I am good at it and will do it with top-notch results, but as a consistent day in and out job I have no desire for such.
Work Ethic- Self-direction, attention to detail and motivation is a guarantee from me. I work excellent by myself yet have the experience to lead. I am able to view the whole picture from the companies/owners perspective because I have been there myself. I take care of equipment tools and other company property as if it were my own. I provide to any employer the peace of mind that work will be done in a timely fashion and right the first time.
Expectations: A good wage and rise quickly as soon as I prove my worth. I am a good framer, top notch finish carpenter and excel many more areas. I encourage you to use me in as many ways as needed and in return provide me with as many opportunities as possible. I have no criminal history, good driving record, drug and alcohol free. I am available to work 6 days a week and can travel if needed. I also have tools of the trade.
