With over 20yrs experience, currently seeking full time permanent licensed electrician employment.
As a licensed electrician, I performed the following functions when required:
• Install control or safety devices, transformers, shunts and recording instruments or panels.
• Test equipment for proper operation, safety and accuracy.
• Independently respond and resolve issues and concerns on project inquiries and provide peer support and guidance on installation, safety and operation of standard equipment.
• Plan, supervise, and assist employees to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Safety Code (C2-2002) (NESC) guidelines and procedures and ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, load and test new and existing electrical lines, circuit breakers, inspect and troubleshoot high voltage building electrical systems, transformers, relays, power supplies, emergency generators, controls and equipment.
• Inspect and determine when repairs are necessary on large air handling units used in air conditioning and heating and use my skills to make repairs when necessary.
• Analyze and repair defective components in heating, electrical and air conditioning systems, using blue prints and schematic drawings.
• Plan, estimate, troubleshoot, and repair most electronic equipment.
• Repair and/or install electrically operated stoves, toasters, heating units, lamps, fans, other motors, alarm systems, and repair wiring and controls for kitchens, basements, yards, etc. by locating the cause of malfunctions and make the necessary repairs and replacements.
• Repair wiring and controls for street lights, install and/or repairing overhead or underground wiring for buildings, private homes, and restaurants.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose air condition units, heaters, and ventilation units at many work sites which requires attention to detail and the necessary persistence to complete my duties in a timely manner.
• Review service work orders to correct problems.
• Drive company service truck to independently perform maintenance and emergency repairs when required.
• Provide cost estimates for various valves, ball, flow controls systems, butterfly, solenoid, etc. and order specific materials to perform duties such as switches, electric actuators, and remote sensing thermometers.
• Install electric actuators for automated or computer controlled flow-control systems.
