I am seeking position in construction project management or estimating, depending on the position to fit my background. I have worked 9 years for a total of two large scale commercial general contractors. In these two companies, I worked as jobsite project engineer, estimator, senior project engineer and jobsite assistant project manager.
As an estimator and preconstruction engineer, I was involved with all types of bidding, (hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets) estimating and value engineering processes of more than 50-60 projects. The projects included a variety of buildings, form large scale to small scale projects with their civil work and site work included. The total duration of my estimating and preconstruction engineering experience adds up close to 3-4 years.
As a jobsite project engineer and assistant project manager, I have performed all of the duties outlined in the list below. I have worked on two large hotel projects, one gymnasium and its office building, an aquarium building renovation and a few smaller jobs. All these projects included their respective site and civil scopes. The total duration of my jobsite experience adds up to about 5-6 years.
I am able to relocate and have work authorization in the US.

Project: New York Aquarium – Brooklyn, NY
This $16 million project consisted of two phases. It was the structural retrofitting and interior renovation of an existing Aquarium Building and a new Con-Ed Utility Hub Construction. Reported directly to project executive and assumed both project engineer and project manager role.
• Responsibilities included all tasks to run and manage the job: communication with the consultants and the owner and be the main point of contact, buyouts, internal monthly cost reports by working on Prolog, coordination of trades. Prepared change estimates for the owner, tracked costs, provided support to the superintendent to resolve issues and performed weekly schedule updates.

Worked on partial seismic retrofit of an existing retail store. Duties included the entire range of tasks to run and manage the job.
Assistant Project Manager
Project: Mater Dei Athletic Complex – Santa Ana, CA (2005 – 2007)
$ 16 million Masonry & Steel frame Gymnasium structure including adjacent office and locker room buildings, a competition swimming pool, and related site work
• Responsibilities included all tasks to run and manage the job: communication with the consultants and the owner and be the main point of contact, reporting to an offsite project manager, buyouts, internal monthly cost reports, RFIs, submittals, subcontractor change orders and owner change estimates, tracking costs, owner billing reviews, providing support to the superintendent in resolution of issues, schedule updates and closeout.
Also the Project Manager for a separate $1 million, 2 story, masonry maintenance building construction on the same site. The job was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
Senior Project Engineer
Project: Fantasy Springs Hotel – Indio, CA (2002 – 2005)
$ 60 million 12 story cast in place concrete, 250 guestroom, 2 ½ star hotel tower, podium building, site work, water features, and central plant building construction. Worked on all phases including bidding, preconstruction, construction and claim preparation.
• Construction phase responsibilities: conducted subcontractor meetings, RFIs, submittals, supported superintendents in resolution of issues, submittal and delivery tracking, subcontractor change orders and owner change estimates.
Project Engineer
Project: Pacific Electric Loft Conversion – Los Angeles, CA (2002)
$ 23 million 314 unit historical loft conversion project. Worked on bid award and preconstruction phases.
• Developed construction drawings, priced options and wrote work scopes for subcontractors.

Project: Century Plaza Towers Elevators – Santa Monica, CA (2002)
$ 1.2 million elevators and elevator lobbies addition to an existing 4 story parking garage within an extremely tight few months schedule.
• Responsibilities included the entire spectrum of tasks to run and manage the job. Reported to the Project Manager.
Project Engineer
Project: Hollywood Renaissance Hotel – Hollywood, CA (2000 - 2002)
$ 75 million 22 story, cast in place concrete, 3 ½ star, 640 guestroom hotel construction which consisted of renovating an existing hotel tower and adding an adjacent new tower.
• Managed trades: structural steel and miscellaneous metals, concrete, formwork, water features, security system, exterior & interior signage, underground utilities and site concrete.
• Responsibilities included subcontractor change orders, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, supporting the superintendents in dealing with the field issues, delivery tracking.
Estimator (1999 - 2000)
Worked on bidding and budgeting of more than 50 projects. Tasks included quantity takeoffs, analyzing subcontractor quotes, preparing budgets and cost estimates in CSI or system formats.
