KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Construction Manager for a Jacksonville, Florida based Civil Construction Company that in its first (5) years in business had failed to work up to its full potential. Utilizing proven management and construction skills and by requiring all employees to operate at the level for which they were each hired, the company began operating as a competitive and respected contractor in Northeast Florida.
• Project Superintendent of the Mt. Pleasant - Towne Centre located in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. A project that began as a 49 acre site of existing ponds and dwellings, and within just 10 Months and with 18 complete design revisions from Konover Property Trust, evolved into a 38 Million Dollar, 626,247sq.ft., multi-structure Design/Build Concrete Tilt Panel Lifestyle Entertainment Center. Included as part of this open air Lifestyle Entertainment Center was a 16-Screen Consolidated Movie Theater, misc. retail outlets including four Large Retail Anchors, Restaurants and an extremely detailed site of fountains, statues and ornamental accents that reflected the town’s history. This project was also acknowledged by TCA for its Cast in Place Brick inlay and ornamental design, so as to match the surrounding areas historical architectural features.
• Project Superintendent over the construction of the Michael Swerdlow Company owned Las Olas Riverfront in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Florida along the riverfront and in a very accessibility challenged area. The project was a 57 Million Dollar, high profile, fast track, Design/Build, Auger Cast Pile, Multi-Level Lifestyle Entertainment Center with 280,000 sq. ft. of Theme Restaurants and Nightclubs, Retail Stores, a Six Floors 23-Screen, Regal Cinema Movie Theater and Fun Center with a hardscape that consisted of Brick Pavered Walks, Drives and elaborate Cast in-Place Concrete Stairways and Ornamental features.

Project Control Specialist/Scheduler P2/P3e, 2009 – Present
Responsibilities include the development and daily maintenance of the Army Corp of Engineers P2/P3e Project Schedules and Budgetary data associated with the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Branch based in Jacksonville, Florida. Supported Branch Chiefs and Project Managers by creating, maintaining and updating the projects schedule data and budget changes in Primavera P2/P3e while performing Analytical, Technical and Quality Control checks and reporting on 30 projects. Verifying and maintaining proper resource budgets and changes for labor and contract payments with the Army Corp of Engineers Budget Analysts as well as maintaining the Corps financial system (CEFMS) with changes and funds availability. I played a major role in the development of both the QC Manual and the Scheduling Desktop Guide for M-B and the USACE.

Solicitations, Negotiations, Contract and Subcontract creation, review and execution along with all client relations was just a small portion of my responsibilities. Scheduling of on a daily average (5) Projects, but as many as (13) at one time, Subcontractors and from (55) to (75) Employees, Trucks and Equipment was performed with the use of both Primavera P3 and MS Projects depending upon the client’s preference. Permitting, Safety, Quality Control, Submittals as well as SJWMD, DEP, EPA and JEA adherence and all aspects of a Projects Close-Out procedure were also included in my responsibilities. Projects ranged from Private and City funded to Government (Mayport Naval Base, Jacksonville, Fl., US Marine Reserve Center, Jacksonville, Fl. and US Marine Base – Blount Island, Jacksonville, Fl.) projects with costs ranging between $125,000.00 and $21,000,000.00.

My Projects ranged in design and cost including a multi-story Jacksonville, Florida Branch AOL Call Center with elaborate finishes, MEP’s and Low Voltage, a multiple Design/Build Concrete Tilt-Panel Buildings Business Park, a 225,000 SF Pre-Engineered Metal Building Distribution Facility to a Wal-Mart Super Center and with costs ranging between $1,500,000.00 and $23,000,000.00.

Project Superintendent over Projects ranging in size and design from stand alone stores such as 45,000 to 60,000 SF Publix Supermarkets and Multi-Story Federated Department Stores, to Multi-Million Dollar, Design/Build Entertainment Centers and Large Anchored Shopping Centers, with the proven ability to get the projects completed ahead of schedule and under budget without affecting the quality of the final product which in turn allowed the retailers to begin sales sooner then planned. On a daily basis I managed all field activities related to the projects construction including Employee and Subcontractor Safety, Scheduling, Quality Control, Inspections, As-Builts, Materials and Equipment. Projects designs included Vibratory Compaction, Auger Cast Pile, and Concrete Tilt-Panel to Multi-Story Cast in-Place with Twin Tees and topping slabs and with costs ranging between $2,000,000.00 and $57,000,000.00.

Responsibilities included the Schedule development and Implementation of all field activities including Manpower, Materials, Equipment and the Subcontractors related to the project as well as all Safety factors. Projects ranged in size and type from Office Building renovations to Power Plant, Refinery and Fuel Tank Farm upgrades, while consistently maintaining quality and high profit margins on all projects. Projects ranged in cost from $76,000.00 to $486,789.00.
The Stellar Group, Jacksonville, FL
Superintendent, 1989 – 1993
Superintendent for The Stellar Group on a 500 Million-Dollar Coal Fire Generator Plant who’s contract with Black & Veatch Engineering, Inc. consisted of total site construction and facilities maintenance during the power plants construction period. Job scopes changed daily as the plant took shape over a 4-year construction period but included in part all Temporary Utilities, Roadways, Lay Down and Storage Yards as well as all Temporary Buildings and Structures.
Contract Services, Inc., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
Superintendent, 1988 – 1989
Responsibilities included Project Estimation and Scheduling of small Government projects with the use of Means Book and Primavera software. Also included with the position was the correlation between the Naval Command Office and Contract Services, Inc., the supervision of Manpower and Subcontractors used for the construction and remodeling of military installations located at the Mayport Naval Base, Florida as well as the Jacksonville, Florida, Federal Court House with the main goals being to complete the jobs with the Quality that the U.S. Government required, ahead of schedule and under budget. Projects included additions and renovations to the BOQ, CPO Club, Carrier Basin Steam Generating Facility and NAVFAC.
