OBJECTIVE
To utilize my skills in all phases of construction, in order to build the best and most profitable project possible.
FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY
I have spent the bulk of my life in the construction field. As a fourth generation carpenter, I was raised to be a builder. I can read prints as good as any, better than most. Though I have primarily ran work for the past eleven plus years (from crew chief to project supervisor.) I never ask anyone to do something that I can’t. I strive to achieve the best possible end result, and my wide spectrum of work experience has always paid off to that end. Problem solving and customer/client relations are of my best attributes.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
I am a licensed insurance adjuster, and am currently employed in the insurance industry.
In the commercial end of construction, I have worked from small tenant improvement projects, to large high rise buildings. I have worked in Seattle, the San Francisco twelve bay counties, to Las Vegas, doing commercial, high-end, high-rise construction.
In residential I have worked on single/multi-family tracts, to multi-million dollar customs, from the San Francisco twelve bay counties, to the Aspen- Vail area where, until recently, I resided and worked.
EMPLOYMENT__________________________________________________
I am currently self-employed, working as a home inspector for a Florida insurance company, who underwrites homeowners insurance. I currently maintain a PCA license (620), an adjuster’s designation, for property adjustment, private, commercial & auto.
Since moving to Colorado in 1997, I have spent most of my career self employed. I was mostly hired by local contractors to oversee projects, crews, or just individual small jobs. My duties range from just framing on some smaller projects, to over-seeing crews on some bigger ones, to scheduling everything from permits to C.O.s, for other companies. I left Colorado in December of 2008.
E.G.: Metal stud framing/drywall supervisor Battlement Mesa Middle School, Battlement Mesa, CO. Field framing superintendent Village Homes, New Castle, CO. Project Supervisor TRM Corp. in charge of all projects from tract to custom, all schedules, permits, prints, inspections, subs, punch list’s and warranty, walkthroughs with clients/customers and/or interior design. For Paul Whistler Construction I was given blueprints for custom homes, which I, and usually one other carpenter, would set the footers, build the foundations (some with basements, some without) frame the entire house, to be drywall ready, and then side the exterior, several of the customs I built for Mr. Whistler, I also trimmed(base, case, cabinets, doors).
For Mid-West Drywall, I took over three projects (2 schools, 1 cancer center) all in various stages of completion, all behind schedule, all ready to bring on another contractor to finish. It was my job to get them back on schedule, make the general contractors happy, and complete all three by their completion dates, which were within 3 days of one and other. I made it happen. I also worked for Phelps-Tointon and Wigand corporations, doing high-end cabinets, doors and trim in the Aspen area.
Before moving to Colorado, I lived and worked in the Las Vegas area, where I worked for the Silver State Carpenters Union, working on the strip. I was crew chief and foreman on the New York New York, as well as several other projects.
Before moving to Nevada, and except for a short time in Seattle, I lived and worked in the San Francisco twelve bay counties as a union carpenter, as well as houses and small re-models for my father’s construction company. During a period of major slow down in building, I drove a delivery truck in the San Francisco area. Out of high school, I took a job as a dishwasher in an Italian restaurant named Pasta Fresca, where I started as a dishwasher, and within 2 months was assistant chef, doing all ordering, prep, and meals six days a week.
