Manage crews in multi-prime contracts of up to 49 individual trades.
KEY PROJECTS AND SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
OCEAN TOWER-1999-2000
· Managed the reconstruction/earthquake retrofit of two twin towers twenty stories each containing 183 units per tower. This contract consisted of several phases. Phase I identifies structural failures with A & E to procure construction documents for repair work. Phase II documenting each homeowner’s valuables in concession with insurance representatives. Phase III relocating homeowners into like and kind housing. Phase IV Kickoff construction. This project was projected for one year at 40 million dollars and ran a full year over and an additional 40 million over. There are too many variables to list on a reconstruction project of this magnitude.
CORNERSTONE VILLAGE-2000-2001
· Managed the City Santa Ana in a public works rejuvenation project to low income housing. This project consisted of 40 individual apartment buildings 10 units per totaling 400 units with an occupancy rate of approximately 7.25 per unit. Project completed weeks early and under budget.
MONARCH HILL HOMEOWNERS ASSOSIATION-2001-2002
· Managed the reconstruction of 36 buildings and 325 units (post defect litigation) Multi-primed, Roofing, Decking, Plumbing, Stucco/Sheet metal, Civil, and Mold Abatement with hundreds of miscellanies interior repairs. Project completed on time and slightly over budget due to unforeseen dry rot and mold remediation. This project budget was 10 million after final litigation.
MIRASOL HOMEOWNERS ASSOSIATION-2002-2003
· Managed the reconstruction of 33 buildings and 211 units scheduling and assisted the forensics team in the observation and photographs of all exterior and interior latten defects identified by the architect and engineers. Matched requisitions to forensic logs for the allocations to each subcontractor responsible for the defects in there trade. Attended deposition as most knowledgeable consulting manger with 14 law firms for days of deposition. Project value 5 million completed on time.
PUEBLO OF SANDIA-2002
· As the owner’s representative, I managed the construction of 100,000 sq. ft 5,000 seat Amphitheater in the State of New Mexico. The Pueblo of Sandia selected McCarthy Construction as the general contractor and Gafcon, Inc. as the construction manager. This project was extremely fast pace with only four months to complete due to headlining bands already committed. Project value 9 million completed weeks early and on budget.
PUEBLO OF SANDIA-2002
· Manage the construction of a 6,400 sq. ft Pueblo Style Catholic Church as the owner’s representative in the State of New Mexico. The Pueblo of Sandia hired Jayne’s Corporation as the general contractor and Gafcon, Inc. As the construction manager. This project ran simultaneous with the amphitheater and was extremely fast pace with only four months to complete due to Saint Anthony’s Feast Day. Project Value 7million completed on time and on budget.
