Work History
7/2008 to the current New Horizons Tele. Inc. Palmer, Alaska
Served as lead surveyor for fiber optic line and tower placement. At all times I was required to keep the crew moving, many times I had to re-route the fiber optic line due to terrain issues. Being the front person on the line I had to make sure clearing machines would be able to navigate terrain safely and not slow them down. If the surveyors stopped the clearing crews, and the lineman would be delayed in their work. This was a 3 year project covering over 250 miles along the Richardson Hwy. We crossed over the Alaska Pipeline many times and went thru downtown Fairbanks and south to Glennallen, Alaska. The fiber optic line will go on exsisting power poles to Anchorage, Alaska. Required research and field work. Jobs were computed and staked and drafted in the field. A large portion of these jobs were completed in remote areas. Access to office and engineers often very limited. Was also responisble for hiring crew and training.
