Thank you for taking the time to read my resume and consider me as a candidate for a position with your company. I am a senior manager in search of a management position for a quality based construction company. I have nearly 30 years of experience ranging from civil engineering design (Caltrans and Boyle Engineering) to estimating and project management with heavy highway construction companies (C.A. Rasmussen, C.C. Myers, Security Paving, and Sully-Miller) as well as being the General Manager of a construction service company (Traffic Management) to my recent employment as a Project Executive (Cobalt Construction).
After only three years upon my graduation from California University at Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering I successfully passed the California State Board Exam for Civil Engineering.
I have a proven track record of taking on the hard projects and bringing them in on time and under budget. I have an array of experiences in several types of construction that includes public as well as private work in the construction of highway, freeway, bridge, rail, underground, dry utilities, airport, and multi-family housing. I have worked for clients ranging from small municipalities, to the State of California (Caltrans), to major airport authorities, to rail/transportation agencies, as well as the private sector. The values of the projects range from $10 million to $80 million plus.
My management skills were proven when I was given the position of General Manager of a small, local traffic control service company and helped put it in position to launch it’s nationwide business based on the business model developed under my direction.
In closing, I would like to once again thank you for your time in considering me for a position with your company and I look forward to meeting with you and becoming a valuable member of your team.
Respectfully Yours,
Mario L. Veneroso
