Summary of Qualifications
• Able to perform mechanics to determine proper components and installation requirements.
• Installed, adjusted, modified and tested operation of specialized electrical systems, panels, circuitry, etc. in accordance with current State and Federal Electrical Codes and Ordinances.
• Able to work from verbal instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical publications and instruction bulletins.
• First-rate troubleshooting ability to diagnose and correct electrical problems in the power distribution, electrical equipment and lighting systems.
• Can use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances.
• Ability to diagnose and analyze equipment failures and make necessary adjustments to correct failures while working safely at all times.
• VFD and DC drive experience.
• Exceptional ability to install grounding leads.
• Understanding of facility systems (e.g., HVAC, chillers, boilers, purified water, compressed gases, etc.).
• Strong desire to study and comprehend new technology.
• Can direct work of and instruct other electricians, helpers, mechanics and apprentices, prioritize the work and organize/coordinate the work of the unit.
