RE: Search for Employment: Geologist, Hydrologist, Environmental, Geotechnical
To Whom It May Concern:
Due to an unfortunate downturn of work within my previous employer (Wasatch Environmental), I have been forced to find bigger and better opportunities for employment to support our family of two children. I would like to thank you in advance of my consideration of any position you may have within your company.
I have received my BS in Hydrogeology Engineering Geology, and my MS in Structural Geology, both from Utah State University. I am currently licensed as a Professional Geologist in Utah and Colorado, a certified UST consultant and soil/groundwater sampler, and have completed the OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training.
For the previous 6 months, I have been employed by Wasatch Environmental as a Project Geologist. My duties entailed project bidding, management, completion of Environmental Phase I and II Assessments. Tasks included soil and groundwater sampling, well installation and monitoring, report writing, and agency correspondence.
Prior to Wasatch, I was employed by Y-Squared Geotechnical for 2½ years as a Senior Engineering Geologist and project manager of all geologic, hydrology, and environmental investigations. My duties entailed project bidding, contract proposals and budgeting, geologic hazards assessments, Environmental Phase I & II investigations, groundwater management, site specific seismic and liquefaction analysis, slope stability modeling, geotechnical engineering support, geologic and geotechnical soil sampling, lab preparation and analysis, excavation observations, and report preparation and review. Four years prior, I was working with NRCE in Colorado, as a Groundwater Hydrologist and project manager for numerous groundwater and geological investigations throughout the Western US. Duties included project management, grant proposal preparation, geologic mapping, groundwater modeling, well installations, and aquifer testing.
I thank you in advance for you consideration of me for any open positions that you might have available. Feel free to contact me at any time by phone or email. Please let me know if there are any specifics that I need to fill out for any open jobs that might be suited for me. The best way to contact me is by phone.
Attached you will find a copy of my resume. Transcripts and additional references are available upon request
