Detail oriented, hard driven project manager with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and over seven years in management, engineering, and consulting. Possesses expertise in supervision of personnel, management of projects from start up to finishing phase, cost analysis, and quality control. Technical proficiencies include providing observation and testing services for clients, and then certifying test results performed to project specifications.
HIGHLIGHTS OF QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE IN AGRICULTURE, PLANT, AND SOIL SCIENCE: The degree included study of soil and plants including classification, identification, mitigation and impact of pollution on soils. Additionally, it included plant, science, anatomy and physiology of plants and animals. Course work also incorporated farm equipment including identification of the different types of equipment. Horticulture and land surveying were part of the curriculum.
PROBLEM RESOLUTION: A soil recommendation was made to a client from another firm that was not consistent with the overall development of the project. Had the client followed the recommendation, it would have cost additional funds. I recommended a cost effective solution to the soil issue that saved money and resolved the problem.
QUALITY ASSURANCE: Developed and implemented Excel spreadsheets to track the date and user of equipment for a specific day. There had been high levels of equipment misuse which led to high repair costs. The system was created to identify who was misusing and to retrain them on proper equipment handling. Within the first six months of implementing the tracking system, the cost of repairs was below the company’s overall forecast. Our field image was enhanced by the resulting well maintained equipment.
QUALITY CONTROL TRAINING: Initiated both a classroom and field class to teach personnel and project managers how to perform necessary inspections. Followed through with personally performed spot inspections to ensure that the procedures were being followed and adhered to. This resulted in greater quality control allowing the company to provide superior service to existing clients and attract new clientele.
