BUSINESS ACUMEN
My career in Construction spans over twenty-five years of extensive experience in estimating, administration and management of large commercial projects both in the United States and overseas. As an integral part of the management team, I ensured projects were delivered on time and in budget. With a proven track record of success, a consummate business judgment and experience across situations, organizations and countries, I provide high-level expertise in estimating, project management, business development and administration.
One of my most valuable abilities is the skill to analyze and evaluate cost and performance. Over the past eighteen years, in the roles of estimator and project manager, I have been successful in ascertaining cost vs. benefit information in competitive, fast-moving, hard-bid, commercial markets.
As an Estimator, I led discussions with executive management and production, established methods and formulas to develop strategic strategies that would enable our company to be competitive in the market place. I compiled our department’s vendor and subcontractor database and implemented tracking systems to manage our projects. During the execution of our projects, I formulated corrective measures and found solutions in dynamic business situations.
Business success depends on good relationships among the client, subcontractors and staff. Throughout my career, I have always maintained positive relations with vendors and clients and continue to conduct business with customers I have maintained for over twenty years. I attribute this success to my professionalism, integrity, courtesy, with a clear understanding on the task at hand.

This work required the thorough analysis of programs, schedules, methodology and financial reports to manage the project to assure quality and performance specifications were achieved.
An important skill I bring to this position is my ability to analyze and evaluate cost and performance. In the role of Chief Estimator for Tri Dal, Ltd from 2000 to 2005, I was responsible for ascertaining this type of information in a very competitive, fast-moving, hard-bid, commercial market. During that time, I was a founding member of a start up department. In five years, our department grew sales to six million dollars per year. My international experience with MESA, 2008 to 2009, has taught me to take nothing for granted. Business methods and practices learned domestically often do not apply overseas. In as much as I have extensive experience in estimating and project management software, I have learned it is paramount to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization to insure estimates reflect corporate procedures and production capabilities.
PROCUREMENT
During my employment with MESA, from 2008 to 2009, I was given the challenge to find new material and trade suppliers in an area of the world where established markets did not exist. I established trust and positive relationships with these vendors by professionalism, integrity, courtesy, in the context of a very clear understanding of the task at hand.
One of the most important responsibilities during my employment at Carthorne Constructors from 2005 to 2008 and Tri Dal, Ltd., 2000 to 2005, was my ability to interface with a diverse group of individuals internally and externally within the corporate subcontract and purchasing functions. As project manager and chief estimator, I improved our department’s profits by creating systems to track and control cost. I controlled and maintained our subcontractors and vendors to ensure production received their materials on-time. During project “buy-outs”, I consistently saved the department ten to fifteen percent in total cost compared to the estimated budgets.
EXCAVATION
From 1991 to 1996, with Sunshine Land Design, I was involved on multiple highway improvement projects with the Florida DOT as well as many state and local public projects. From 2005 to 2008, with Carthorne Constructors, I was the office project manager and estimator for an excavation and civil construction company.
I have a thorough understanding of every aspect of modern business. I eagerly share information and enjoy helping other people excel and improve themselves as proven by my extensive community service. I get on quickly without complaints. I am self motivated. I am a person who is always on the go; I have been involved in a number of community service activities continuing education, and personal development. I value helping people improve their lives and have contributed by volunteering in numerous sporting clubs and associations. From 1997 through 2005, I managed a youth basketball program consisting of teams from grades four through eleven; I organized fund raisers, solicited corporate donations, and encouraged family participation to help give young people an opportunities to improve their lives both on and off the court. Many of our players received college scholarships; all players succeeded in learning the value of teamwork, commitment and hard-work. From 2006 through 2008, I became a Certified USA Boxing coach.
