Regional Vice President
I opened the LA office for PDG in November of 1995 and built it to a staff of 10 over a nine year period. As Regional Vice President, I coordinated and managed all PDG projects in the western states specializing in design and space planning for government agencies during two sequential GSA 4 year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts. Other work I was responsible for obtaining included retail shopping centers and branch banking. Additionally, I was responsible for hiring, training and supervision of all personnel.

Interviewed and made recommendations regarding prospective candidates for employment. Conducted research into CAD systems for architectural production and design.

Station Designer, Phase One Houston Metro Rail System
Responsibilities included conceptual and preliminary design of rail stations and ancillary facilities, supervision of the development of standard and directive drawings and their input into the CAD system, and development of computer programs to test various scenarios of station operations.

Project Architect
As a member of the Petrol-Chemical Architectural Division we studied 3 dimensional concrete modular structures and steel framed modular structures for expatriate housing in Saudi Arabia and Libya. I led a team of architects in developing a Master Plan for an 80 acre site in Tripoli to house expatriate staff working for the National Oil Corporation of Libya. Duties included design, design development, land development/master planning, interiors and space planning, project management, client meetings, supervision of production staff, and construction consultation.

Projects included 42-story Seafirst Tower Office Building in Seattle, WA, and 24-story multiuse parking structure for Texas Commerce Bank, Houston, TX.
