MAJOR PROJECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Opry Mills Mall – Project Manager, The Mills Corporation for $170 million, 1.5 square feet regional mall project. Awarded all sub-contracts, initiated RTU layout for base building and tenant spaces, and initiated Request for Proposal for graphic elements. Maximized project efficiencies and cost savings by initiating RTU layout at considerable cost savings allowing funds to be redirected to other project areas and awarding graphic elements contract $3 million under budget. Also purchased emergency generators as second source of power for smoke exhaust system and life safety requirements at $300,000 under budget. Mall management office was operational two months earlier than planned originally.
• Palisades Center – Project Manager, Pyramid Management Group / Eklecco for 850,000 square feet mall project that required acid stains and dye washes, overlayments, and graphic installation. Project included $4 million four-floor mock up and was completed while other trades were working in same area. Created colored floor layout of floors with scheduled times when other trades needed to vacate areas. Heated floor areas due to cold winter temperatures so that flooring processes would perform in expected manner.
• William S. Hart Unified School District Program – Project Manager, Bernard’s Bros. Construction Management Company for construction of two high schools each valued at $48 million. Managed all project phases and interfaced with local officials to meet requirements and create positive relationships with community.
