• Swiss Embassy / Ambassador’s Residence. The $ 15 million residence at 29 St. &
Cathedral Ave. NW Washington DC. Exterior design was executed with exposed
architectural concrete stained charcoal gray along with frosted vertical glass panels to
convey the look of the Swiss Alps. This exposed concrete theme flowed into the interior
spaces with the exposed concrete floors. The MEP, materials and tradesmen were
brought in by Niesberger, a German design build contractor. Construction sequences had
to be modified, and managed closely due to the late arrival of overseas MEP materials,
and equipment.
