CEO/Owner
I set up and operated Desert Stucco and Masonry, a specialty contracting company, from 1986 until 2006. Desert Stucco and Masonry provided brick, block, EIFS and Stucco for local and regional commercial and residential building projects for 20 years. We acted as subcontractor on varying projects at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, The Corps of Engineers and several State, County, and City municipalities. We also completed numerous projects as the prime contractor.
Desert Stucco and Masonry was a respected member of the Tri-Cities Construction Council and the Small Business Association and built lasting relationships with loyal cliental across the great Northwest.
As CEO/Owner of a small business, I was responsible for all financial aspects of running the company as well as sales, marketing and procurement. I set up and implemented office structure, recorded and analyzed revenue, maintained customer relations, analyzed blueprint specifications and developed proposals, managed accounts receivable and accounts payable, recruited, trained and managed employees, developed job safety analysis for labor employees, and maintained relationships with suppliers and sector organizations.
In addition to CEO/Owner responsibilities, I acted as a hands-on Foreman specializing in block, brick, stucco, EIFS and stone with experience in concrete and carpentry, and excavation. I also applied lath (stucco mesh, metal lath, the bead work and other metal products as per specks) in accordance with lath and plaster application.
