Developed and implemented a paperless blue-print system enabling better document tracking, information availability and considerable time savings. Built the master CPM schedule to introduce flow and consistency to the project in order to meet contracted delivery dates. Regularly interfaced with owners, architects and town officials for public relations and conflict resolution.
Shaw Construction, Inc., Grand Junction, Colorado 2006 – 2007
Senior Superintendent
Senior member of the team that built the Arrabelle, a $200 million, 750,000 S.F. 5-star luxury resort complex at the base of the Vail ski resort. Accomplishments for this project were: resolved $2 million short in the pay application, resolved legal issue of ‘rated doors’ that didn’t pass a burn test, implemented field conflict reviews to stay in front of drywall and finishes, implemented punch list process to provide uniform closeout with better documentation and reporting capabilities. Developed and implemented total building commissioning program encompassing over 3,000 pieces of equipment coming online for a phased opening of the project.

General Contractor-Owner
Licensed, Class B General Contractor as well as contracting out to manage projects for other companies, the largest of which was a Harkins Theatre in the redeveloped Stapleton complex in Denver. The theater project encompassed a number of firsts: first use of insulated concrete forms on a large scale commercial project, largest tilt panels done in the state, first 18-plex built by the customer, first theater done by the architecture team. While challenging, this project was delivered on time, within budget and with a minimal punch list.

Worked for companies such as AT&T/Lucent Technologies - Bell Labs division, and Polycom in various Executive & Engineering positions on an international basis before returning to the construction industry. Some of my accomplishments with these organizations included:
• Drove startup global services organization for video conferencing to over $18 million run rate within 12 months.
• Built distribution sales territory from $0 to over $6.8 million in gross revenues, with over a $1 million profit contribution within 12 months.
• Designed and implemented numerous global conferencing communications networks over IP, ISDN, dark line, switched digital, frame relay, Internet VPN, and numerous combinations thereof.
• P&L responsibility for numerous organizations in the roles of Controller, General Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

Worked as a tradesman, sub and general contractor, on various jobs to $50 million in size. Extensive big box, multi-story office, medical, retail strip centers and office/warehouse new construction and remodeling. I spent many years as the build side of a Design/Build firm. Achieved Journeyman status in the trades of drywall hanging and finishing, steel and wood framing, and trim carpentry. Skilled in cabinet making, painting, patchwork, electrical, plumbing, carpet, tile and residential roofing.
