Regional Director – Health and Environment 2002 – 2008

Directed a team of ten technical professionals, including professional engineers and professional geologists, who managed all environmental aspects for a 16 state region consisting of Southern, Midwestern and Mid Atlantic states. Environmental aspects included 2700 petroleum storage tanks, 7000 tons regulated waste, 270 air permits, environmental site assessments (100+ per year), spill response, environmental remediation, hazardous materials reporting for 5000 sites, recycling and environmental sustainability.
• Worked with regulatory agencies on all regulatory inspections (~ 300 per year) and inquires. Reduced notices of violation by 60% over 5 year period.
• Created and/or edited environmental policy and procedures for nation-wide operations for a workforce of 120,000+.

• Developed the specifications for the environmental information system used nationwide, allowing seven separate systems to be combined into a single tracking system.
