Negotiation and preparation of change orders, monthly pay applications and reports to ensure timely payment for work preformed. Maintain a positive relationship among clients, architects and contractors through partnering and weekly team meetings. Resolve of all construction issues at the lowest level possible to produce a quality project with a successful completion for all parties involved.

A new 80 room extended stay hotel included site work, utilities, asphalt parking lot, hardscape and landscaping. Construction of each guest room included a fully equipped kitchen and individual HVAC unit. All work was delivered for operation in 7 months from receipt of the permit.

Renovation of a hundred year old Northern Illinois University administration building. The building was originally constructed as an English castle and great care had to be taken to renovate original design elements. Managed demolition, asbestos abatement and masonry contractors. Weekly scheduling meetings with the University required the monitoring of future rehabilitation work as well as detailing daily activities and documenting all pricing changes.
ï¶ BEQ 230, 232 & 234, Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL ($4.25 Million)
Three BEQ buildings were renovated to update to current codes and enlisted living quarter needs. The entire mechanical and electrical systems were updated with new equipment. All quarters were remodeled to include new windows, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. The existing underground steam lines were abated and new lines installed which required daily coordination and scheduling with the bases underground steam system and utility department.

This 25,000sf Strip Mall project consisted of ten retail spaces built under the strict guidance of Village officials. Work included “white box†construction of each space as well as a parking lot, sewers, hardscape and landscaping. The new road to the mall required close coordination with IDOT and the City due the extension of water, sewer, and gas utilities that tied in at a State highway.

Construction of the new Metra Rail station was contracted directly with the City of Highwood and built for Metra Railway. The project required stringent scheduling and coordination due to the proximity of the building to the rail tracks. The construction consisted of new storm sewers, resurfacing the existing parking lot, hardscape, new rubber platform, and the new building as well as the installation of a new data system. A functional clock tower was added to the station by the City during construction, yet the original schedule was maintained.
ï¶ Uniform Issue Building, Great Lakes Navy Base, Great Lakes, IL ($4.5 Million)
The project entailed the conversion of an existing Navy warehouse into a new uniform issue building. Demolition included the removal of the existing interior space, removal of approximately 20,000sf of existing concrete floor and abatement and removal of all existing steam lines. A new Ff100 super flat concrete floor was installed along with an in-floor forklift guidance system. A new uniform conveyor system and packaging system were installed. The steam heat system was updated to meet the current requirements. New offices, conference rooms and class rooms were added. The exterior masonry walls were cleaned, tuck pointed and painted.
