Daily Tasks Included
• Project Manager: Day to day management of projects under my supervision. Budgeting, project scheduling, critical path management, cost control, plan and specification review, contract management, submittals & logs, requests for information, change order requests, manage other project managers, manage superintendents, weekly project meetings with owner’s and/or architects, project meeting minutes, keeping continuous contact with owner’s, architects & engineers, records & logs, close out documents, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, punch list items, substitute for other project managers and superintendents. On design/build projects; select, organize and pull together the architectural / GEO / engineering team, help guide the client through project programming stage, space requirements, schematic design, preliminary design, budgeting, specifications, contract documents, design review, permitting, scheduling, construction, close outs, warranties, O&Ms, punch list items, substantial completion.
• Estimator: Plan and specification review, determining scope of work, authoring invitation to bid for sub-contractors and suppliers, authoring scope of work, cost estimation based on CSI standard (old & new format), time lines & contracts, meeting with sub-contractors and suppliers, determining overall company profits, upon request providing schedule of values, completion of bid form or proposal documents.
• Marketing & Sales: Find and establish markets & clients, daily review of common industry resources searching for potential projects, keeping in contact with former clients, attending pre-bid walks, write up report for potential projects, delivering and recording documentation for 11th hour public bidding, represent company at trade shows and formal functions. Authored and maintained an expansive client data base.
• Safety Director: Chair company safety committee, author and maintain company safety policy, author and maintain company tailgate meeting topics, maintain safety and training records for all employees, provide and certify OSHA required certifications for each employee, determine safety requirements for each project, maintain weekly safety training program, provide training and instruction for all new employees on company policies and safety policies, stand for all OSHA visits, worked in conjunction with Associated General Contractors Safety Consultant, maintained monthly tailgate meeting log by each employee,
