I am hoping that this letter finds everyone blessed and well. I am forwarding my resume to you
in hopes that you will please take me into consideration for the position that you currently have open. I
am someone who comes with very good references and that you will never have to worry about my
attendance, job performance, or quality of workmanship. I am also in very good health and do not have
a problem with Heights, climbing, stooping, and or any thing that is required in a physical job position.
When I am at work, only my work gets attention. I am looking for a career and something stable. I am looking for long term and something that will offer me as much as I offer to their company. As I am a hard worker and I love my work and I love working with my hands. It gives me a since of accomplishment and there is nothing better than seeing your finished product, and knowing that you created that.
The last company that I worked for I was there from January 2000 until May 2008 and I am still
doing Sub-contracting work for the previous owner. I was absolutely heart broken when he closed the
doors. I choose to stay with Hanover Builders even though I was offered way better positions with
better pay and benefits. I stayed because I had loyalty to Mr. Painter (the owner of Hanover Builders). I
then opened my own business Faith Builders Home Repair and Custom Decking, due to there was no
companies hiring in our area. I made the best out of it and did very well for myself. I went forward and
took the classes required in Virginia for Contractor C License and got the Licenses as well as I got
insured. But, I did not stop there, I worked real hard and got a Trex Representative to look at my deck
work and got a Trex Pro Certification. I would say that I was very successful.
I am not a drinker, smoker, or do I have a bad mouth. I have been married 10 years this year and we have two wonderful children and I am a good Christian Man, I guess I am what you call the family man. We have a very stable home life, there is no home issues ever brought to the work site.
I believe in hard work and I never miss work. I do not like job hopping, I have been a supervisor for over 7 years in a Construction setting. Before that I was a Produce and Meat Dept Manager for about 5 years. I am familiar with almost every aspect of being a supervisor. If there is something I do not know, I am eager to learn more and I am always looking to do better, because your best to me is never good enough. I am a fast learner, and I would like eventually to work my way into an office setting, but, I am willing to work for it. I do not have a Criminal History and I have a clean driving record. I am applying with your company and I hope that you will at least take the time to meet with me in person and see that I am everything that I say that I am.
Thank You for your time to read this and I am looking forward to meeting with you.
Best Regards,
Patrick E Kelly

Objective: As a Site Supervisor in the Construction Industry but focused on Residential Carpentry, there has been a lot of experience that has been given to me as well as wisdom to help handle situations on the work site. With that said, my experience and skills combined will be an asset to any company for a multi-facet of positions. I am open minded when it comes to where I may land in this shaky economy, however, I do no bend on the fact that I am looking for a stable and permanent job. I show up to work everyday as well as I do not bend on my morals or my ethics. I am a hard worker and expect the same from my crew. I promise and give you my verbal handshake that you will not be sorry that you have given me an opportunity.

1998-2000
Virginia Harvest Store
Lead Service Technician
This position was a constant traveling repairman job, here I worked on farm equipment such as Harvest Stores, with these I had to Climb sometimes over 100 feet as well as go into areas that required Gas Masks and work on Engines and Blades. This was a very dangerous job, here I started out as a helper and then within 1 years time I was promoting. This company closed down in early 2000 due to Bankruptcy.
1994- 1998
IGA Food Plus
Produce and Meat Dept Manager
This was a job that multi-tasking was definitely a must! I managed and also worked hands on in both departments. That consisted of cutting the meats and preparing them for sale as well as inventory as even far as cleaning and sterilizing the areas. I was responsible for watching sales reports and numbers as well as scheduling employees, hiring, and firing. I covered all aspects of that of your average retail manager. As for the reason why I left there, the Store was sold off and IGA Food Plus no longer existed.
