Summary of qualifications: An energetic professional distinguished by superior organizational skills, excellent people skills, and the ability to articulate thoughts in an understandable and timely manner. Starting out in the military provided all of the drive, motivation and organizational skills necessary to be a successful manager. These qualities along with Fifteen years of field/office experience and approximately Thirteen years of classroom time provide for an individual that is conducive for any work environment. Of the almost fifteen years of experience obtained in my career, Three years of it was spent owning and operating my own company in Sacramento, California. This experience provided me with a unique insight to Estimating(utilizing vision/infosoft-electrical estimating software)budgeting, manpower, material logistics, safety, bookkeeping, p&l, customer service, etc… With fifty seven employees at our peak, I was exposed to all facets of the commercial industry. Furthermore, my knowledge of the electrical industry would be an excellent addition to any building management team. Also, I have worked for a commercial contract management company as an Estimator/Project Manager/Electrical Inspector in the JOC/IDIQ/USACE programs for the US Govt(AAOD-Bynum, Al./Dobbins AFB/Theater Wide-Iraq/Fort Benning). This experience along with the military has provided me with an immense understanding of Govt. contracts & programs. During my Self Employment, my Company sustained 10M in work per year from 2003-2006 (performance based municipal contracts); with Fifty Four field personnel, Three office staff, and my self. This provided an immense understanding of what it takes to run a commercial electrical construction corporation such as Estimating/Managing multiple projects, P&L, manpower(HR), logistics-material acquisition/disposition, and how to be successful at it. Due to this exposure, along with time spent working overseas for the US Govt., I have invaluable experience that will help me to perform the duties of my position that most applicants would not.
