I am submitting this resume for your consideration of my qualifications as a welder with your company. I am currently employed as a pipe welder with TIMEC at SHELL Puget Sound Refinery in Anacortes, WA. I am diligent, self motivated and I have experience working in Power Plant Refineries. I am extremely dedicated and well versed in pipe blue print reading and excel in pipe fabrication and pipe fitting. I am well versed in GMAW and FCAW, but I truly excel at SMAW and GTAW. I hold ASME sect. IX 6G pipe certifications in both of these processes.
As a student in the welding technology program at Bellingham Technical College I maintained a nearly perfect 4.0 grade point average. I graduated with a certificate of merit and top of my class honors earlier this year. I obtained 2 WABO certifications for 6G pipe while I attended. BTC prepared me to re-enter the work force as a highly skilled professional pipe welder in a field that has unlimited potential for growth and development. I adapt to new places and travel well. I work well with others and excel when asked to lead. It is my hope to work with skilled professionals and further my on the job education as an employee for you.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you to arrange an interview.
Sincerely,
Matthew L. Williams
