Managed and directed the administration of the service department (water, wastewater, streets and storm drainage,
lands and buildings, 3 parks, swimming pool and 2 cemeteries) and worked with the Village Administrator to plan and
execute the village’s capital program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set guidelines and objectives for the service department in conjunction with the goals and objectives set forth by
Village Council and Village Administrator, including streets and storm drainage, water, wastewater, lands and building,
parks, and cemeteries. Followed rules and regulations, including filing timely, required reports, of the Village of
Baltimore, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Ohio Department of Transportation, and any other state or federal
rules and regulations.
Established OSHA safety programs, established personnel development plans, and reviewed results of work
performed.
Coordinated and directed the operations of the water and wastewater plants and distribution systems, storm drainage
system, and roadway system.
Monitored department performances and recommended action to identify and correct problems.
Assisted in the preparation of the five year capital improvement plan.
Did all purchasing for all departments through computerized PO system
Prepared and monitored a maintenance program and inventory list for the service department’s equipment and
supplies.
Applied and monitored OSHA standards. Ensured that all OSHA required training was administered in accordance
with established standards.
Made recommendations to the Village Administrator in regard to budget preparation, program changes, goal
establishment, and short- and long-range planning.
Regularly consulted with the Village Administrator concerning policy matters.
